It’s the question every fan of The Oprah Show is asking: Can I get a free new car? No, sorry, that’s just me. No, what we’re all wondering is: Who will be the final guest on Oprah’s final episode?
Don’t expect an answer here — Harpo is as quiet as a mouse when it comes to the identity of Oprah’s final guest. It’s a very, very well-kept secret, one that has bloggers and fans considering all angles. And the talk show maven has already had a buzz-y season — it’s difficult to imagine how she can top guests Michael Douglas, Rob Lowe, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, David Arquette, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, today’s Johnny Depp, and the upcoming James Frey. Nevertheless, many are speculating, with their best guesses ranging from Jim Carrey to Stedman Graham. So who would you like to see as Oprah’s final guest?
Personally, I love the idea of Graham as a guest. Though many have guessed that Oprah may serve as the final Oprah Show guest — how do you get much bigger than the talk show queen herself? — the mysterious Graham would give us far more perspective into Oprah. There’s a good chance, too, that Oprah could nab Tucson shooting victim Gabrielle Giffords for her final program, someone who would serve as a perfect Oprah guest: An influential, well-known headline-maker with a touching story that ends on an uplifting note. If we prefer to look at it from an entertainment angle, why not gather the subjects of the most scandalous story of the 2000s — Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Aniston — in a room to talk it out? Or invite fellow Chicagoan Roger Ebert on the show to talk about his struggles with thyroid cancer and rebirth as a social media savant?
What about you, PopWatchers? Who would you like to see as Oprah’s final guest? And who do you think it will be?

Phil Donahue. He’s the guy that started the talk show format over 40 years ago. Oprah owes the success of her show to him.
She already had him on this season.
As that picture air-brushed, she looks literally very tanned?
Nobody. I’m tired of her ‘Farewell Tour.’
There was a time I would care and was the biggest Oprah supporter. However, this year the viewers rated another Queen of Daytime. I am glad Oprah is leaving especially after being beaten by Judge Judy in ratings.
Judge Judy’s a court show not a talk show. No talk show has ever beat Oprah in the ratings in 25 years, except for Jerry Springer briefly in 1998.
And Judge Judy not really in daytime either. Her show repeats in the evening which artifically spikes her ratings.
I think she should interview God.
THAT is probably who she thinks she should get!
THIS
I would like to see Shirley Temple Black…what an American Icon…would love to meet her myself…
Wait isn’t SHE god? She acts like it!!! Hate her.
Britney Spears. She would def end with even higher ratings. And who wouldn’t want to hear Britney finally tell it ALL. It would be huge and only Oprah could do that interview right. Britney’s been around for half the time the Oprah show has been on, so I think it fits perfectly.
Who wouldn’t want to hear Britney finally tell it ALL? Me.
You know, I would LOVE that, but I think she has a better chance of getting God.
Seriously funny Joke! She’s a TOTAL IDIOT!
Jesus
Revealing the full extent of her powers, Oprah’s last guest will be God.
…and Elvis…
Tom Brady and wife
Me, of course. She would get fantastic ratings.
Osama bin Laden
she could bring in the corpse which was never really buried at sea..they were saving it for the last oprah show.
Howard Stern! Love him or hate him….people will watch!
Don’t know who her last guest should be, but the best moment in TV history was when Oprah was reunited with her 4th grade teacher Mrs. Duncan, and Mrs Duncan walked out and was just a little lady with a bun and Oprah had a complete breakdown sobbing uncontrollabley. The whole audience was crying too, even the men. LOL!
Oprah herself…because it’s always really all about her.
This.
I THINK SHE WILL HAVE THE PREZ, OR TRUMP WHO I THINK WOULD BE WONDERFUL, OR THE ROYAL NEWLY WED COUPLE, SHE HAS TO GO OUT BIG OF COURSE.
The awesome Gabby Giffords
Agreed. I think she will pick someone really inspirational, not just a celebrity.
Also, hasn’t she already announced that she’ll interview Stedman?
While that would be incredibly awesome, Oprah’s last show is this month. Rep. Giffords has been recovering at a remarkable rate considering her injury, but I don’t think she would be up to being on national television for an interview less than five months after being shot through the brain. She’s yet to even have the surgery to replace the piece of her skull that was removed. I certainly look forward to any future interviews with this amazing woman, but it’s unlikely that Oprah’s going to be the one to do it.
who was her first guest 25 years ago? I’d put decent odds on that person…
That’s what I thought too… but it was Travolta, and he was her first guest this season. Another possibility is Tom Cruise… has he been on since the infamous couch-jumping incident?
Not Cruise. Please, Oprah- anyone but him.
Yes, Cruise went on after that.
