I love your thought process Jeff, What do you thinkg about this theory?:
I think it’s obvious Bennet’s not the killer, but I think he’s possibly a terrorist. It was thrown away that the fluid could be used for making bombs, and his sister-in-law did make a loaded statement about being on different sides of a war. I think Bennet is involved in a bombing against Mayor Adams, perhaps to stop the Waterfron project? I think he got Rosie involved, she had second thoughts, came to his place after the dance to end things and then left. I think Bennet and his wife were disposing of some of the bomb-making equipment. It still ties into the political case, and explains why Bennet supports Richmond.
Maybe Mitch’s sister had something going on with Ames and Rosie was (or sister) she was moving on from the son to the father – who could afford to buy her very expensive shoes. So Terry kills Rosie and somehow is holding it together except when she lashes out at Mitch (and Belko when Ames rejects her). It will be all fraught with – but she is taking care of the little brothers so well how could she kill Rosie
I am beginning to suspect the Mayor. What if he hired someone to murder Rosie, and placed her in the campaign car to frame Richmond?
Belko did it
The reason Belko wants Stan to do something stupid is so he can step in to become the father of the family. He killed Rosie I think.
I’m still leaning on it being Sarah’s fiance, he’s gotta be linked to the campaign somehow.
I am still thinking Jamie is involved somehow, because of when the creepy neighbor said to Sarah “It was someone like you” I was thinking small with red hair.
She followed up with “a woman”? and the neighbor said yes but it sounded unsure… just a small detail but it brought me back to Jamie.
I think Belko’s “contact” is whoever Holder was talking to in the car. And I was guessing that guy was his sponsor since it was following the scene where he saw the drug deal go down.
Belko got the phone call from the contact AFTER the scene with Holder so I’m led to believe that whoever Holder was talking to was the one who leaked.
And, I don’t know if anyone remembers this but – in the very first episode – one of the first times we meet Richmond, Gwen makes some off-shoot comment along the lines of, “you’re going to have to tell me who she is, Darren.” When I first heard it I had no idea what kind of relationship he and Gwen were having at the time however it seemed by Richmond’s deep-in-thought-gaze that Gwen was being the jealous-type in some way and kind of encouraging him to come clean with whatever was on his mind.
And, does anyone else think that it was Aunt Terri passed out in the bed at Jasper’s house in episode one after seeing her reaction to Jasper’s dad’s brush off at the funeral?
