Derek Hough appeared on ABC’s Better With You last night, and it wasn’t until I saw him there that I realized how much I missed him on DWTS.
Lies! I actually just miss his Hidden Gems and was saddened when ”Little Derek” didn’t appear last night on the show — at least to this gem hunter. (Although, part of me wonders if ABC would edit out big “Little” cameos.)

(The only thing I saw was the man wearing a beige shirt and hoodie in the background who looked like he was over-exposing his pale, hair-less chest.) Derek was amazing on Better with You. Great acting and hilarious! Ratings were way up because of him. I miss him terribly on DWTS. His choreography and energy are unmatched!
The reason the ratings were up were nothing to do with Derek, rather that the show had a great time slot right after Dancing With The Stars.
Except that Cougartown in the prime spot following DWTS last week got 3 million less viewers, even though it normally gets several mill more viewers than Better with You. Derek was a huge reason for the increased ratings. You only needed to see twitter to realize that. Everyone said they watched to see Derek.
Yay for better ratings! Better With You is really funny and I hope more people give it a chance now with some better awareness. I love the contrasts between the three different couples and how they handle things. It’s my favorite new comedy of the year.
I think it’s funny and adorable as well..I think it does what Perfect Couples on NBC tried to do but failed. I’m surprised I don’t see more people liking this show, glad to see I’m not the only one!
That was funny, and Derek was pretty good. That being said, I don’t miss him on DWTS. It’s time someone else go the spot light. He was always the favorite. He always got the best dancers. And he was always hamming it up for the cameras. At first it was super cute, but after awhile it got tiring, especially because he almost always made it to the finals and we had to deal with whole seasons after seasons of mugging. I wish him the best of luck, but I needed a Derek break, and I’m enjoying DWTS this season without him.

That show gets better with every episode and last night was terrific! I do miss Derek on DWTS too!
I am enjoying NOT seeing Derek this season. He is so obnoxious and overdoes it for the cameras. I don’t miss his stupid pretending to get pulled back at the curtain, I don’t miss him always getting the semi-pro dancer as his partner, and I don’t miss him showing off all the time and hamming it up whenever a camera was near him. Better With You is Better Off Without Derek.
I miss his bubble butt.
I miss Derek! This season, I can take or leave the show because Derek isn’t on.
Better With You is a bubble show and needs all the help in ratings it can get. The Derek Hough casting was a stunt to bring viewers in to watch, especially since it was on directly following DWTS.
Someone else said it got decent ratings, I hope that is true. I’ve been watching this show all season and find it charming and humorous. I would hate to see it get cancelled, so I hope others will tune in on Wednesday. I’m worried they may make a decision on this show based on the ratings this week. It deserves a spot on the ABC comedy block.
Derek…you are greatly missed on DWTS! You were so good that you had to leave (they asked you to take a break?) so someone else could win. You were the major talent.
I definitely miss Derek! But I still have my Maks so, that’s good. I tuned in to Better With You only to see Derek. He did a great job, but I’m a little disappointed in the writers. I have to wonder if ABC was using the same ones that wrote for the episode of Melissa & Joey on ABC Family that featured Mark Ballas and Joey Lawrence dancing together. Same thing, different people.
Saw it. He has very good sitcom timing.

Yes! Bring Derek back to DWTS. I miss him! I don’t bother watching most weeks now because it’s no fun without Derek. Hope he’s back next season.
Derek was great on “Better” but his spark, great artistry, elegance and fun personality are SOOO needed on DWTS. Great guy from a great family and GREATLY missed on DWTS. PLEEZE producers of DWTS, keep your word and bring this gifted dancer and choreographer back so this show continues to be the most entertaining live show on TV.
I only watched Better With You because of Derek. I miss him very much on DWTS and most of the dances this season are pretty bland. His choreography and creativity are sorely missed. I do not think he mugs. He’s just having fun. Everyone’s so stonefaced in the celebaquarium.

I definitely miss Derek on DWTS. Last night’s guest appearance on Better With You didn’t really satisfy my need to see Derek dance on Monday nights… LOL! But all for a good cause. His movie is gonna be EPIC when it comes out next year… I can’t wait. =)
