Melania Trump appeared on The Joy Behar Show Wednesday night to talk about Donald Trump’s supposed bid for the presidency. Behar asked the question that’s on everyone’s mind: Is Trump just seeking publicity (as some NBC execs think), or is he serious about running for president in 2012? According to Trump, it’s the latter: “Look, he doesn’t need the publicity stunt,” she tells Behar. “He’s successful. He will make a decision prior to June. And he’s very passionate about the country … We all know the troubles in American nowadays. And he wants to see everybody doing well. The issue is about bringing jobs back. Bringing jobs to the country. And he’s very passionate about that. And I see that people really like it.” It’s true: Trump is performing astonishingly well in the polls. The Celebrity Apprentice star, however, has been criticized for being part of the “birther” movement, demanding to see President Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Not surprisingly, Melania Trump is also Team Birther. “It’s not only Donald who wants to see it,” she tells Behar. “It’s American people who voted for him and who didn’t vote for him. They want to see that.”

Hawaii does not FOR ANY REASON or ANY PERSON release birth certificates. Several people have gone to the hospital and have seen it.

He already has shown his birth certificate as well as the newspaper announcements in Hawaii of his birth. How much more do you need? The problem with the Birther movement is that it is inherently racist. Its members will never be satisfied with anything Obama provides.
I don’t think the birthers are inherently racist (though I’m sure there are birthers who are in fact racist). I think the problem with the birther movement is that it’s like any other conspiracy theory: facts disputing their conpsiracy are only part of the conspiracy. That’s why any further action on Obama’s part would be meaningless; it would just be viewed as action in furtherance of the conspiracy. Quite frankly, I don’t blame Obama for not taking any other action. The more the birthers talk, the crazier they look. And who makes up the vast majority of the birther movement? Tea Partiers/Republicans. As an Obama supporter, I encourage the birthers to keep going. You’re just going to get the Kenyan re-elected.

I agree, it is inherently racist. There are white first generation Americans who I doubt have EVER been asked to prove that they were born here. Interestingly enough, when I visited Costa Rica several years ago, they didn’t believe I was from america because I’m Black. I really don’t doubt that his race and ethnicity are the issue.

This whole “birther” movement contiues to crack me up. First of all he has produced his birth certificate numerous times and even had it posted on his website. Secondly, does anyone truly believe that if the Clintons or even McCain had thought there was one shread of truth to it that they would not have been screaming it from the rooftops in 2008. He won, he already has the job, and at he will probably keep it for another 4 years. I don’t see the repubs with anyone to challenge him… Palin? Trump? seriously?

Aside from the birther issue, why anyone would think Trump is “honest” is beyond me. Trump is the ultimate con-man. He inflated his own businesses in order to get the banks to loan him billions, then he declared bankruptcy 4 times. And don’t forget his personal life; he’s a shyster!
Don’t forget that one of those loans, for $40 million, he tried to get out of by citing a clause in his contract that the recession was an act of God, beyond his control. How sleazy is that? Google Trump and Deutschebank.

Its going to result in Donald Trump running as an independent and getting all those birther/tea party votes that the Repubs need if they are going to get their own candidate elected.
