Wednesday’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night sure was fun. Everyone did fairly well. No disasters. No more dizzies! But someone’s gotta go home. Earlier today, we suggested Stefano, Jacob, and Paul would be heading to the stools of doom around 8:50 tonight. You voted — most of you picked Stefano or Jacob. My gut is telling me “Stefano,” but my gut is saying “time to eat frozen pizza and raw cookie dough” and I’m just not sure it’s a good idea to listen. Chat about the results show here, and I’ll update this post as soon as we know which of the top 9 has been eliminated. Update: Pia Toscano was eliminated. What?!?!?! She’s been considered a frontrunner pretty much the whole time. “I have no idea what just happened here,” said J. Lo.
Stefano Langone and Jacob Lusk joined Pia in the bottom three.

You see: Haley has always been the Star of the girls and she always used to get ragged on the show. Randy, look who is on top now.
This proves how most of America gets it wrong as they don’t know sh*t about talent. How is it that DeWise got to be the winner last season when clearly Crystal Bowersox should have won; Same with Adam Lambert, and now they vote off one of the most talented singers in the competition. America has no idea of what talent is.

LOL, @ McKibbin. This is nearly that nutty. Most people had been predicting Pia to be in the Final 2 or 3 at least. I thought for sure it’d be Jacob after he dissed America and sang first, and if not him then perhaps Stefano. Pia…not many saw that coming…not even the Idol Powers That Be. Most shocking elim EVER. More shocking than Daughtry and Tamyra since they both went home # 4…not # 9.
People keep on hyping about Pia, its over now. stop talking about her like she is a demi goddess. Get a life peeps.

The tweenies posting here make it very clear how superficial they are and just don’t get it. Pia was voted off by them “because she is boring.” The show is about finding singing talent – not whether they are “boring” or not!

I’m far far from a tween & I thought she was boring too. I don’t deny she had a great voice & she was gorgeous, but there’s more to it. Yes, this is about talent, but there a several talented singers left who are just way more interesting to watch. As good as she was, she never inspired me to vote for her. I’m sure tons of others felt the same way. All that being said, I don’t think she deserved to go yet. Oh well.
I’m ancient and I thought she was cold and had no stage presence, in other words, boring. Yes, she had a nice voice, but for better or worse, today you gotta put on a show, not just stand there and sing.
Whatjujubee said word for word. Not a tweenie and found her boring. She’s talented and beautiful but you need more personality on stage to make it. She was often compared to celinedion but Celine dion had moe emotion in her singing and as I’ve said before Celine dion is not culturally relevant anymore. So presenting a singer that is similar to her isn’t going to sell well. Sure she has the Vegas show but I’m pretty sure her last single was the titanic song or some other song from the mid90 s

Why are blaming the judges for waisting a save on Casey. They all tried to save Pia by telling her to step it up. She didnt the american people just got tired of waiting.

Paul Mcdonald is NOT a musician. He’s a pretty boy who plays a guitar. A musician understands music. A guy who giggles his way through “Tracks of My Tears” and then acts like Folsem Prison is the happiest place on earth does not understand music.
I’m with Troy on this. Paul is good looking, but musically incompetent. Stefano is ordinary looking (not bad) and barely 5″ tall. Even Ryan has to lean over to talk to him.

The problem with Pia is that she came into this competition too polished…America likes to vote for contestants who improve and evolve throughout the competition (see Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen, etc). Pia came in without anywhere to go…not to mention that we don’t really get to see much of her personality.

But she did show personality-remember she challenged Paul and Durbin in the great Wrestling Tournament-with the black under her eyes and everything. But, yes, I think the girl was born polished and America prefers messy. But this girl votes for girls and guys so your sterotype doesn’t work and I voted for Pia, Lauren, Haley, James and Scotty last night multiple votes. Like Casey but thought his performance was boring and tired of the grunting. Hated Jacob’s comments, hip thrusts. Stefano’s not reliable. Enjoyed Paul’s performance for the first time. I feel disgusted that Pia is gone. This sort of thing makes me lose interest.

Pia’s fans probably thought she was safe and didn’t vote. It happens a couple times every year.
And that’s what the judge’s save was implemented for. Instead they used it for someone who performed poorly two weeks in a row because they “knew he could do better.” Maybe this is a lesson to them that they need to make decisions based on what the contestants actually show rather than what they think they can show.
She is beautiful and talented…most of the voters are girls – and the girls only vote for cute little boys. So sad, but she has a future…someone will sign her.
If they say she had the fewest votes, they have to be able to back that up. Otherwise they’d be in huge legal trouble with the FCC. The slightest hint of vote fixing would bring the lawyers running.

When, in any other situation, do we judge a musician’s worth on the “warmth” of their personality? Do we really choose which songs/CD’s we’ll purchase based on the singer’s personality? It isn’t fair to judge these contestants on anything else besides how strong their voices are and whether or not they’ll be a successful recording artist. Let’s get back to why this show was originally created! And I agree, the producers need to limit the number of votes people can have and then the voting problem will be fixed, but they’ll never do that because AT&T, one of Idol’s biggest corporate sponsors, will lose a ton of money… And clearly from what we’ve seen with all the stupid and pointless celebrities on the show this season, we all know Idol has sold out completely!
