It is a known fact that when a singer is scared they tend to sing sharp. Jacob sings sharp alot. Since I have perfect pitch, it is easy to hear. I am surprised that the judges have not commented lately on Jacob’s pitch problems. Has he had any lessons before trying out for Idol? Just singing in a church choir is not sufficient grounds to say a singer has had training. Jacob has had his good moments and his bad moments. It is true that there is no clear cut leader – who knows who will actually win???

My pet peeve is people who are so mean about these kids–judging them on their looks, complaining about how they move—I have never seen a meaner, more insulting bunch than some of the people that post here. If you don’t like their singing—fine. But to tear them apart is just wrong and I can’t believe how nasty some of you are when commenting. The anonymous abilities of the internet enable people to just say whatever the hell they want without worry—but some people take that too far. Commenting on people’s looks, bodies, the way they move or how they move when they are singing—it’s just petty and mean.

You can see us? Wow, no one told me. I’d better put something on.

Randy’s critique’s of Haley chastising her for changing it up from week to week, saying she doesn’t know she is as a artist, isn’t it the point by having changing themes from week to week she is showing her range!… and then he gets on Pia and Thea for singing Ballads every week!…. my other pet peeve is just watching Jacob Lusk sing, it is laughable and unbearable to watch, the man looks like he is in pain!

My pet peeves: producers mentoring contestants (result: not noticeable artistic improvement among the singers); Tyler’s lofty but hollow words (what a disappointment!); I usually fastforward thru Seacrest, interviews, commercials and most guests’ performances.

I HATE how everyone treats Casey Abrams with kid gloves.

If he can’t take the heat…he should get out of the kitchen or off Idol

Plus Casey looks like his stinks and is dirty.

The show is now unwatchable. With these 3 judges everything is great, the best and beautiful. Haley, Paul, Stefano all stink and gave terrible performances yet according to the judges they hit it out of the park. Simon would have thrown some of these “Idols” right off the show. I cannot bear to watch and will not watch next season if the judges are the same. Nigel has destroyed his own golden goose

Hailey and Stefano need to go. Pia, Scotty and James will be the top three. Jacob is very talented but limited. Casey and Paul will not last. Lauren is talented but should not try to carry on a conversation in front of cameras. She comes across as ditzy. Steven doesn’t offer any constructive criticism but is funny.

    Pet peeves about commentors:
    a. Ceaseless whining about their heart-throb Adam not winning. It is beyond old.
    b. Current whining about how J-Lo and Steven Tyler are not great performers and singers so The Great Simon is desperately missed and those two “don’t belong”. I missed the songs Cowell sang and all the Grammies, I guess.
    c. Racial and feminist bean counter commentators. Sending Lynche off last year, sending off Naima and Thia was racist and ufair. And worse, Naima and Thia leaving left a surplus of “ordinary white boys” – please. Any commentator that posts such drivel ought to have a Flashing “Idiot!” warning on their post.

    Judges –
    1. Vastly better than last year – but I am peeved at Tyler because the guy was an excellent critic before Top 13 and I want the guy back,
    b. Jennifer interrupts, but she is also the best advice giving judge, so its a wash.

    Performers -

    1. Pia, you are good, but is there any chance we could just crown you Miss America and have you leave Idol?
    2. There have been Idol singers that I have hit the mute button on before, but Jacob Lusk is the 1st I wish I had face-blurring software for.
    c. Little tired of Casey the Genius Artist promo. I want to see the guy show he can sing better than the other guys. At this stage, I think he is slightly ahead of Paul and the pandering cheeseball Stefano..just slightly ahead.
    d. Lauren A – “Oh golly gee shucks, Tee-hee-heee!” About had my fill of that.
    e. Haley – something in me is irritated by her but then she just pops into this zone of charisma and superb singing and I’m suddenly loving her onstage and wondering where my irritation went..
    f. Naima who I liked, but really didn’t like her affected fake Janaican accent at All! That was a bad call Naima and I think that is why you said bye-bye instead of Paul.

  • Sand

Haley has the most potential vocally. I think that she is quickly forming and will surprise everyone as her focus and confidence solidify.
Jacob is a great singer, but needs to control his vibrato to be more versatile. He needs to sing a soft slow song with heart.

  • Sand

Scotty is a one trick pony, and is fine, but I like him better if I don’t look at him. He will grow into his voice, but for now he acts too goofy. He will definitely have a career, but he should not win Idol.

  • mallard2

James is an inspiration to any kid w/a learning disability. You can work hard to achieve your dream. He’s adorable the way he tells America he’s married, and he loves his fam. and is doing this for them. He’s a natural talent. He’s got IT.

  • mike

    the judges NEVER criticise scotty.duhhh!

  • Di

The judges suck, treated America like sh–! JLo should be happy America likes LESSER talent!
Pia was boring, sorry. She had nothing unique. A good voice, beautiful, but blah. I am too old and happy to be jealous, and I’ve picked the winners of the last 5 seasons, despite if I agreed or not. I have a sense of what America will like and I knew it would never be Pia this year. Next to go will probably be the Italian dude!
