Scotty all the way – he can sing and connects with the audience,WAY TO GO!!!!
I think scotty is great he’s got a good personality,he’s got a great voice he’s got the talent he’s got the whole package
My faves are Paul, Scotty, and James. I hope they’re in the Top 5! None of the girls are very interesting IMO.

Scotty is not only talented but a sweetheart. I think he will do very well after the show in his selected genre.
Scotty won’t win, but he is the most marketable. He will easily be signed by a country music label. The reason he won’t win is that he is getting most of the country votes already. Those voting for others, will continue to vote for others as contestants are weened out, thereby lessening his chances. So my prediction is that Pia wins, but Scotty sells the records. My personal favorite is Stefano. When is a gorgeous guy gonna win? Casey got lucky…I thought his vocals the last two weeks were bad….what a wake up call for him. Glad all of them will make the Tour and glad that the judges did something different by using the save early. Oh, and by the way, Jennifer Lopez gives the best critiques of any judge ever on AI.

I voted for Pia in the above poll, but ,on second thought, she isn’t the front runner because she’s the wrong sex. I know it isn’t fair, but the front runner/winner will most likely be a guy because most of the viewers and voters are female. Unless a girl is OUTSTANDING (EXTREMELY TALENTED WITH VOICE AND PERSONALITY) other girls will vote for a good-lookin’ guy every time. As far as vocal ability goes, I think the prize should go to Pia, Haley or Scotty. Pia’s voice is beautiful and she has a lot of control and versatility. I think the same can be said of Haley and I was shocked to see her in the bottom 3. Her voice has a special sound–different. Her control is unbelievable. Range too. I love Scotty’s deep baritone and I’m sure a lot of the other women do too. But I was pleasantly surprised by his version of Motown’s “For Once In My Life.” I’m just glad I don’t have to be the only judge!
Here’s the thing with Haley, teen girls see her as a rival [see Heathers or Mean Girls]. It doesn’t matter how she sings, girls who aren’t in the Alpha group in school will hate her.
Or maybe it’s because the girls haven’t been that interesting/good. Crystal probably should’ve won, but by the end, I was honestly rooting for Lee; they were both on roughly the same level, IMO. I haven’t really loved a female contestant since Allison Iraheta, but I feel like Pia will win this year. She’s already shown she can sing well, so if she can improve her stage presence and show us more star quality, she could end up being very good.
I really dislike Haley. She’s annoying and doesn’t have a good voice. Her growl feels forced, like she’s trying to go for the whole raw, natural, bluesy thing, but she doesn’t have it at all. When you get to the point where you have to wear barely-there shorts, high-heels and basically start the whole “I’m so sexy” act (a la another Hailey), you’re done, in my book.
I absolutely hate singers like Lusk and Toscano nearly screaming from the top of their voices – that’s all that they have. Truly boring.. And so is arrogant Haley who propped her elbow on the shoulder of A. Jones before the latter was voted off. What a jerk!
Stefano is not out of his league. What the hell kind of statement is that? He’s better than a lot of the people on this show- he just needs to keep his damn eyes open. If anything, I think Paul is the weakest; however, for whatever reason, people seem to love him. Its like he can do no wrong. Same with Lauren Elania and Jacob Lusk. Really? Really?

Geez, can you maybe argue your opinions without being nasty and rude? Who cares what someone looks like—it’s a singing competition NOT a beauty contest—and Casey isn’t ugly, none of the Idols are==unless you are a shallow, rude child who resorts to insults and nasty comments when they have nothing intelligent to say.
Absolutely agree. Calling names is so pathetic. If you don’t like someone’s singing, fine, we don’t all like the same thing, but being nasty is uncalled for. GROW UP!!
Honestly, a lot of the problem this year is all the changes the show has made. I think the record producers are giving the singers bad advice about song choices and style. The song choices are so bad this year and a lot of them are over singing. They’re looking for some huge voice instead of a pretty one and a specific style of music. I miss Kara, cause she got them to each really show their own style. I wish the mentors were still singers too. And the judges feedback is not critical enough.

I think Scotty has a pretty good voice, but is boring to the hilt and 100% predictable, no range either. But yet I still think Scotty will win American Idol 2011. If not him, James Durbin. I think Lauren or Pia have better voices than either, but they will go home early. And Lauren has shown a very stable, on key, interesting, marketable voice already. But every year from 2008 on has more young female voters with cell phones, so a guy will likely win this. This is due to the price of cell phones and texting dropping.
Out of all those guys, I’m betting the two I said. There’s your front runner. Scotty or James, with me leaning towards Scotty even though James is better.
I also forgot to explain that these girls typically won’t vote for other girls near the end, and young boys don’t think it’s cool to sit there and vote for all 2 or 4 hours. So yeah, Scotty (Or James) it is.
I know now this thing is fixed. Next week Casey won’t even be in the bottom 3. A few said that their votes weren’t confirmed for Casey (a bunch of friends tried voting for him so that may explain it)I know something happened with the voting. Perhaps it will happen with Pia or Scotty next week and I’ll be doing a happy dance….cause there won’t be a save!!! Screechy and Yanky won’t be no more. They both did aweful this week (Pia didn’t even sing Motown at all) and Pia will try out next year for the 4th time. Didn’t you know?….that’s how “talented” she is.
