Why does no one like Haley? I LOVE her. And Casey’s great, I love his energy and emotion.
Just a theory, but IMHO partly because they relate her to Haley Scarnato[sp] and partly because she has too much strutting attitude when she performs. Also teen girls will dislike her for being an A list type at school.
i also enjoy haley–see great range and potential-she needs a good mentor-needs to control growl and use her sweet voice more. i could see her doing a ballad. judges give her mixed signals. every year i always pick an underdog to root for. what ever happened to the beautiful tatooed irish girl–i loved to hear her sing too. sorry my 1st chat. i’m a bit older but i enjoy idol and hope the best for all the contestants.

Didn’t read the preceding comments. Just have to repeat my first observation of this season. This is the season..People. The talent here this year is SO good that its hard to know who to vote for. I am already trying to get tickets to the Idol Live tour this summer. Found out they are not on sale yet. What a bomber. It’s going to be a rocker. When I even try to pick someone to vote for I use Barry Gordy quality control technique.( I saw it in the movie about the Temptations) It goes like this Close your eyes and really listen. Then ASK yourself…”If I had only ONE dollar in my pocket would I buy this record or would I buy a sandwich?” The answer should help us to vote. It’s still difficult for me …I keep wishing I had more than one dollar. But then again, that is one reason why Motown kept putting out hits that have lasted a life time. Oh and Thia…..what a TALENT!!!! With all of them such GREAT talent. Best wishes to all. I’ll be the grandma yelling up close at one of the concerts this summer. Can’t hardly Wait.

This article is right on the money!! I really hope Hailey and Naima go home this week! Naima had one good week (mostly her dance not her voice) and I have never liked Hailey.
I totally love, Scotty, Casey, James and Jacob…and Paul also has a really unusual distinctive quality to his voice that I have grown to love. As for the girls, Pia, and to a lesser extent Lauren, are the only two who might stand a shot in the top 5. When it gets down to that, I have no idea who I will vote for, I just know it won’t be any of the girls.

Nobody on Idol could compare to Pia Toscano who will win American Idol!
Stephano (can sing energetically but has no taste, weak phrasing and personality challenges), Paul (can smile and sing out of tune but not with a compensating revealatory phrasing or involving tone) and Thia (still improving but too young for the show; her effective “Daniel” would be a nice closing moment for her) could all go home, to me.
After that, I think it’s anybody’s game. For instance, I agree Scotty could win, though to me he’s got a great one-trick-pony voice and style that are his gift and his albatross. I agree Pia could win, but no one would be excited about it if she stays where she is; I’m not sure she CAN loosen up, though God knows she’ll hit the notes. Naima has style and originality, and sometimes (“Dancing in the Streets”) her vocals come through; she could be a surprise Top 4. Casey needs to get by on more than his eclectic taste and make a clear impression, but he could do that; he’s got the ability. My favorite right now is actually the playful purr-to-growl of Haley, who probably has no chance but I can dream for a Top 4. I don’t think there’s any denying that Lauren, Jacob and James all have talent that make them just a single great week away from being in No. 1 consideration too. Kind of nice to have it this wide open. The last three seasons were clearly a Top 2 and the rest. Not this time.

My bet is Thia is voted off tonight along with Naima..they were both awful last night! I can’t decide if I really like Pauls voice or not… I have listened to him sing Rocket Man about 20 times and there is something about him I really like….maybe it’s because he plays acustic guitar….
Everyone that has a favorate other than Casey Abrams,mite as well give up on thiers becuase as i feared after last weeks discracefull publicity stunt for him after we voted him home,the contest is over for AI winner,it is sad that we have so many people that let his act he pulled and the judges,that he crushed everyone this week on votes,i mean comeon 30 mil last week to 55 mil this week (a record)and as seacrest pointed out (to pump casey up even more)”if u knew how many votes u got u would be proud”.
people vote for the talent the voice not pity,,noone wants to go home.If this show isnt fixed after seeing last weeks deal and then this weeks turnaround for casey ill eat my own hat..lol.sad,,so sad they have to resort to this to take someone to the top,even sader people falling for it…
