Just came across this blog. I’ve watched Michael Orland for years on this show and you can really tell that the kids and the judges totally respect him. He brings years of experience and has that perfect balance of asking a lot from the kids but also being supportive of them. When you see him on Ellen playing for one of the contestants you can see the connection between the singer and Michael – you can tell the contestant is glad it is he who is there with them.

Who is this kid Stefano? The song he sang ‘I need you now’ makes me want to vote for him. Damn, i cant stop listening to the song. Cant believe he can pull it off like that. God is great!

I enjoyed the indepth commentaries from Michael and Debra on this years Idol Hopefuls. My mega favourite (of course)is SCOTTY. He’s a rare jewel in the Idol Crown. I feel he connects to the audience better when he just sits on a stool and sings from his heart..( ie – Letters From Home Performance )..and I’d love to see him play his guitar. WOW that kid is SO talented.

In regards to Paul MacDonald..please please
please..tell him to STOP jumping around like that on the stage. He looks FOOLISH and it distracts from his talent. People think he’s on spacey drugs. He has a great voice, but hey…who notices the voice when he’s bouncing up and down like a crazed monkey. Terrible. Just terrible..IMO
