Lindsay Lohan once she gets cleaned up. I totally see her in the role

I vote Janet Montgomery. Her American accent from Human Target was put on, she’s British. She’s had some experience with action/stunt work. She’s very charming. And she may not look like a Barbie doll the way Lara Croft originally did, she’s not far off from the more current video games. Give her some time to train and muscle up a little, and I think she’d be a great choice.

Does she play Ames on Human Target?

      • Patrick

        Yep, that’s the girl

  • tina

I like the idea of mila kunis … but my vote is actually for Michelle Ryan. She was quite good as the Doctor’s adventuring buddy in Planet of the Dead

  • Swerds

    Summer Glau, anyone?

    • ggny

you mean the horrible actress that looks and acts like a robot and has been in every scifi show that has been canceled in the last 10 years…yah im sure studio exec will cast her

      • Jackie

As long as it’s not a TV show on Fox, Glau would probably be fine.

    • Ace

I love Summer. She’s gorgeous, and we know she can do action, but her british accent (see: Firefly) is wretched.

  • ggny

did you people not see Mila Kunis in Max Payne? She would be HORRIBLE as a action move star

  • Brian Wallace

Megan Fox is the best choice.

    Brian

The only thing that bothers me about Mila Kunis is that she is much too short. Regardless, it doesn’t matter if the actress is voluptuous or not. If my memory serves me correctly, they even “padded” Angelina Jolie’s bust for the role.

  • Elaine

Anna Torv. She kicks ass on FRINGE, so I could easily see her doing the same as Lara Croft.

    • teekay

Nice! I hadn’t thought of her, but you’re absolutely right!

    • AltDave

Excellent suggestion, I’d love to see Anna in a total action role.

  • kelly

Yvonne Strahovski would make a great Laura Croft

    • Joy

Agreed! Not only can you buy her kicking arse and look competent handling weapons, she’s a great actress as well.

    • Dan

Agreed – Yvonne would be my choice. Smokin hot, great actress, and great with the action sequences.

  • Trenton

Emily Blunt would be awesome…she has all the intangibles

    • Trenton

She’s a bonafide babe, movie star but not a-list yet. She is ready to carry her own movie…but more important is the main guy they cast against her. Angelina had Daniel Craig and Gerard Butler as her Tomb men. Both blew up after those roles.

    • Ace

She’d be great, but she’s got better options, I think.

  • Rick McDaniel

Is that all the movies has now…..recycling?????

  • E

My vote? If she’d do it, I say use Rhona Mitra. She was the live action model for Lara Croft during the video games. Why not just use her already? She’s got the looks, accent and ability to carry an action movie. Just use her!

  • Adrian

What about Jennifer Lawrence? She certainly has the acting chops to play a driven heroine and given time to train, she could handle the physicality of an action movie.

Lock her into a three picture deal and Jennifer should be able to carry the franchise for the next decade.

  • Dan

Kate Beckinsale–she’s hot, has the accent, and can convincingly play someone who can kick your *ss.

    • Stacy

      Dito!

    • John

      I was surprised she wasn’t a choice.

  • Ron

    Megan Fox.
