Yes, that’s right — American Idol has launched official Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace accounts for each of its finalists. Though the Myspace pages are currently all but empty — chances are that’ll change after audio from tomorrow’s live show gets posted — and their Facebook pages are also, generally speaking, fairly bare, most members of the top 13 are already tweeting up a storm. Here’s a rundown of where to find each of the finalists online, how popular each of their sites is so far, and what you can expect from each singer’s Twitter stream.

I love reading Pauls twitter page. I’m so happy that he is on American Idol. He is the lead singer of a independent band called The Grand Magnolias and the bands album is #29 on the itunes rock album chart. I’m glad that there is finally people on the show that have music knowledge and skills. Other years there were people who seemed like they did NOT have music experience before American Idol.

I dont use twitter…but the #s are interesting and give us a hunch on who is in the popularity lead…It looks like country is getting a new teen male star in scotty…and we can see whos popular and how lauren because of her pimping is at the top of thegirls -i personally cant stand her
Lauren is not at the top of the girls. Thia is the 3rd most popular…Lauren is the 5th.
It’s pretty self-explanatory. Anyone who tweets has followers who see those tweets. Scotty has the most followers. The “following” # is the # of people that person is tracking. For the most part all the contestants are probably following eachother and their favorite artists and what-not.
