I can’t watch Ransom again. Used to be one of my favorite movies.
Problems such as the ones related by this writer have simple explanations. A weak and easily swayed mind subject to bandwagon behavior.
If I enjoyed a movie at all I will continue to enjoy it regardless of what the actor ends up doing later. My mom is an actress. Even as a kid I didn’t start disliking her films because she grounded me or anything ridiculous like that. One thing has nothing to do with the other. Sit closer to the projector room so you can hear the thing running if you’re having this kind of trouble sorting reality from screenplay.
Actually, I’m all the more fonder of ‘Barbarella’ and ‘Cat Ballou’ due to Jane Fonda’s antics since then.

I don’t think most people give a damn. How can his behavior today have any effect at all on his past performances? Once the art is created it stands on it’s own. Could he somehow improve a lousy past performance by volunteering at a homeless shelter?
