Camille Grammer on '$#*! My Dad Says' tells Kyle Richards to 'suck it'

Camille-Donatacci-GrammerImage Credit: Sonja Fleming/CBSOh stop, she was just reading her lines! The Donatacci made a brief appearance on last night’s season finale of $#*! My Dad Says, which means I watched my first episode of $#*! My Dad Says last night. So get this, and try to keep up: Camille the Real Housewife of Beverly Hills played Camille the Real Divorcee of San Diego, a reality TV star looking to buy a house now that her husband has left her. ($#*! stars Will Sasso and Nicole Sullivan played her realtors.) The diligence with which the writers hit every one of her “Oops, I was nervous, I was sad, Kelsey made me do it, I’m 30 percent busier than everyone else in the world, did I say that?” moments was something to behold.  READ FULL STORY »

american-idol-judgesImage Credit: Michael Becker/Fox; Stan Honda/Getty ImagesSeason 10′s Hollywood Week continues tonight with a final installment from hell called “Part 3.” I got chills! They’re fortifying. It’s hard to stay awake sometimes, you know. Ask any of the contestants.

I might spice this experience up and take a shot every time someone says “I want this so much,” “This is my dream,” or “Wheeeeeeeeeeeeoooo!” Want to play?

Chat about American Idol‘s one-hour (whew!) episode here during and after the show, then come back later for my full recap. The hard drinking should make it more insightful than ever! (Update: here it is; I’m sadly sober.)

Justin Bieber on 'CSI': 20 ways he could die

Filed under: TV and tagged: ,

csi-justin-bieberImage Credit: Sonja Flemming/CBSTeen pop sensation Justin Bieber returns to CSI tonight as Jason McCann, a troubled teenager with fantastic hair. We’re not sure what’s going to happen, but returning baddies don’t have a very good record on CSI. (R.I.P., Paul Millander, the Blue Paint Killer, and Dr. Jekyll.) Since it’s fun to imagine things, let’s dream up some elaborate ways to kill off McCann. After all, Bieber’s a busy boy. He doesn’t have time to guest-star on TV shows. He’s too busy campaigning for health care reform. READ FULL STORY »

Spider-Man? Wonder Woman? Superman? What is YOUR most anticipated superhero reboot?

superhero-costumesImage Credit: Solarpix/PR Photos; Amanda Meredith/PR Photos; Anthony G. Moore/PR Photos; Marvel Entertainment; DC ComicsIt has been quite a momentous week for superheroes. On Monday, Sony released the first image of Andrew Garfield in his full Spider-Man costume, and announced that director Marc Webb’s reboot of the Spidey franchise would be titled The Amazing Spider-Man. Last night, NBC announced that Friday Night Lights star Adrianne Palicki would grab hold of Wonder Woman’s famously elusive golden lasso in David E. Kelley’s highly anticipated reboot of the 1970s Lynda Carter TV series.

And today, EW debuted its latest cover story featuring an exclusive first interview with actor Henry Cavill, who will don Superman’s iconic red cape in director Zack Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan’s reboot of the Man of Steel franchise.

Three superheroes. Three new actors. Three high profile reboots. But which one are you most excited to see? READ FULL STORY »

Anderson Cooper rips journalist who scoffed at Lara Logan's assault

Have you ever seen a public execution? Me neither. But I did watch Oprah bludgeon James Frey and Jon Stewart eviscerate Jim Cramer. A televised flagellation can be be both necessary and gruesome, especially when the offender offers up no real defense for his transgressions. Take Nir Rosen, the freelance journalist who went before Anderson Cooper last night after he’d tweeted insensitive and irresponsible posts following the sexual assault of CBS News correspondent Lara Logan. Cooper was relentless, prodding Rosen for some explanation. “There’s no defense,” said Rosen. “No matter what I say … I look like a jerk.” Yes. Yes, you do.

Cooper, who had also been slighted by Rosen’s callous tweets, was incredulous that Rosen refused to budge from his ignorance defense, and continued to hammer Rosen with the disgraced journalist’s own words. It wasn’t pretty, but it was fair. Take a look. READ FULL STORY »

Lady Gaga wears a 'latex condom-inspired outfit' on 'Good Morning America'

On Sunday, Lady Gaga dressed (bizarrely) for the Grammys, but today, she dressed for aisle 9 at Duane Reade.  In this video from today’s edition of Good Morning America, pop’s current First Lady is clad in one of her wackiest ensembles yet: a flesh-colored, “latex condom-inspired outfit,” topped off with a hat that’s a little Three Musketeers, a little Quaker Oats Man, and a lot crazy. (If only Woody Allen from Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask) were there to accompany her.)

There is, however, a method to Gaga’s madness, according to the star. READ FULL STORY »

David Letterman apologizes to Lindsay Lohan: 'I hope I didn't embarrass you'

Filed under: TV and tagged: , , ,

Who wasn’t excited to hear that Lindsay Lohan would show up in person at The Late Show with David Letterman to read a Top Ten list? Who wasn’t disappointed when the starlet backed out of the appearance? Last night, Letterman himself tried to explain the kerfuffle … and put the blame squarely on his shoulders. According to the host, after he made a Lohan-themed joke in his Grammys Top Ten list, he received a call from someone claiming to represent Lohan. Letterman: “The guys says, ‘Lindsay thought that joke was hilarious. She wants to be on your show.’ So I said, great!” (According to PopEater, the “guy” was actually Michael Lohan, clearly hoping for a repeat victory in the “Worst Father of the Decade” tournament.) “We were duped, and I have no one to blame but myself,” concludes Letterman. “I hope I didn’t embarrass you, Lindsay, and your family.” Watch video of Dave’s apology after the jump… READ FULL STORY »

This Week's Cover: The new 'Superman' speaks! An exclusive interview with Henry Cavill. PLUS: Previewing Hollywood's new crop of superhero franchises

feb252011_1143For fans of superhero movies, the next two years could bring the biggest and broadest array of films the genre has ever produced — and hopefully the very best, as well. Call it The Spandex Singularity — an unprecedented concentration of super-star superhero properties, resulting from the intensifying geek takeover of pop culture. This year gives Fox’s X-Men: First Class, a reboot (in prequel form) of the franchise that helped launch the modern era of superhero cinema back in 2000. Then come three new properties that will try to expand the category’s horizons: Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, both from Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures, and Warner Bros.’ Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds. Next year: The heavyweights. The Wolverine. The Amazing Spider-Man. The Avengers. The Dark Knight Rises. And then, capping the year, an as-yet-untitled movie that will try to restore the king of all the superheroes to his pop glory: Superman. READ FULL STORY »

Jeff Probst on 'Survivor: Redemption Island': Episode 1

Each week, host Jeff Probst will answer a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: Redemption Island as well as offer up a tease for next week. (You can also see Jeff’s video blogs at jeffprobst.com.)

Okay, give us the lowdown on the helicopter ride to start the season. How did you not fall out of the back of that thing and plummet to your death? Not that we wanted that (even though it would have made for AMAZING television).

Hey, Dalton, Love the new Q&A and thanks for plugging my weekly episode vlog as well at Jeffprobst.com. Okay, let’s get to the opening shot from the helicopter. I have one safety strap that is attached around my waist under my shirt and is being held by one clip attached to the floor of the helicopter. The safety guys assure me that these straps never break and the clips never fail. Other than that there is no other back up. It is a bit of a risk but I go with the odds and the experts that I am relatively safe. Hanging out of the back end of a plane or helicopter is a rush and when the pilot banks hard to the left it is a real kick. I love it and selfishly I wish we could do it every season.
