Great episode! I wanna see Beiste get her honkytonk groove thang on more often. She’s such a great addition to the show.
This had to have been my one of my favorite episodes- the party was hysterical, and Blaine was the best drunk! I laughed so hard when I saw him dancing. I don’t think the episode was offensive at all, I’m sort of disappointed they didn’t focus on Blaine a bit more- it seems like they give alot of tease about his background, but don’t show his internal conflict. Like he talks about how he is “searching”, but we never see it.
Also… all of the actors did a wonderful job playing drunk. Especially Lea Michel! I’d almost not be surprised if Ryan Murphy slipped something in their drink before shooting! Haha
Blame It (On The Alcohol) had such a cool sexy vibe that made it my favorite of the night! Everybody looked amazing!
laughed so hard when finn explained the categories of drunk. and dancing drunk blaine was priceless.
I am not understanding people thinking that Kurt was being Anti-bi. He was being a jealous brat. There is a difference. He didn’t want for Blaine to be bi, because he wanted him for himself. That is the way I saw it.
Well, Ryan Murphy has said before that he was going to explore whether or not bisexuality actually exists….if that was the exploration, I find it offensive. Blaine doesn’t like kissing one girl, therefore doesn’t like any? There are plenty of people of both genders I wouldn’t enjoy kissing….
Whether or not it meant to be anti-bi, it certainly came off that way. No one argued that it was possible for Blaine to like BOTH girls and boys. It was always presented as one or the other.
This show always pretends it’s breaking down barriers and telling people to be themselves, but I find it always playing to stereotypes.
I was struck by the retro-fit of Blaine’s sexuality. When he was going to be a one-off character, he came off as an upper-classman, secure, proud, and confident gay man. Now, he’s become immature and inexperienced, which is not how he was portrayed at first… in keeping with trying to make him fit into the cast. His confusion made sense, but the way they tackled bisexuality through Kurt was also realistic. Many of my gay friends consider it a stop on the way to gay town and, while accepting that sexuality is fluid, still think people need to “decide.”
Did not like any of the songs. Was bored pretty much through the whole show…
I went into this episode expecting to hate it, and while I still think the Ke-dollar sign-ha “song” was hideous (although Brittany nailed a great dance routine), it wasn’t the worst. But Quinn pissed me off when she called Will a hypocrite for saying drinking during a performance, at school and as underage was wrong. Will’s drunkenness was out of school and he’s legal. Whatever. When did having a beer once in a while mean one has a problem?
Not the best episode I’ve seen…however, I did enjoy probably the only two good lines in the episode: First with Principal Figgins when he tries to say Ke$ha’s name, Ke-dollar sign-ha. LOL The second when Rachael kisses Blaine and he says, “Hmm, thanks Rachael. I am definitely 100 percent gay.”
Disapointed that only the girls looked bad and suffered any consequences. Disapointed that Will acted like an imature idiot. Since when is he a bad influence? It was very uncharecteristic of him. However, the music was wonderful and that’s all that we care about anyway. Loved Blaine and Rachel’s duet!
Lat night’s episode was soo sad. No matter what the intended message was, it was poorly delivered. Glee was one of my favorite shows but I will probably never watch it again as I was so disgusted. Alcohol is a huge problem. What has happened to our culture? Why do we keep watering down values?
