'Bones' proposal episode: How screwed is Hannah?

Despite Bones producers (and writers) repeatedly telling us how much Brennan likes Booth’s girlfriend Hannah — which means we should, too — a large portion Read the full post.

But I do agree with some of you b-cause the story is getting old. But please my friend’s best thing come to does who wait. At this moment Booth feelings are hurt so can not expect for one snap of the finger an every thing will be okay.

What I want is that the chemistry comes back to what it was, and also to have them come back to the normal formula but the couple factor for the B and B

I figured Hannah was a Dead Girl Walking at the start if the season. She’s sniper bait for sure.

How about Hannah being the sniper? Now that would be interesting. I’ve really despised the way that Booth professes his love then goes away for a short bit and immediately falls head over heels in love with some other woman – fickle, fickle, fickle. I no longer watch because I get so frustrated. I read up on the episodes.

The proposal did look like it was spurred by Sweets “I don’t want to be your age and not married” talk. Booth wants to be in a committed relationship, he loves Hanna, so…time to pop the question. Booth did move on emotionally from Brennan. Eight months in Afganistan and Brennan never called him..found a beautiful bed buddy. But I think a lot of his sadness after the refusal was him thinking about what he is doing that women don’t want to commit to him, not all mooning over Hanna.

Hanna said ‘we’re not done yet’, so maybe some time Booth will have to choose between the two and he chooses Brennan. That’s how Brennan won’t be consolation prize.

I agree. I don’t think Booth would have wanted to propose without that Sweets’ comment. I felt terrible for poor Booth… to say that nobody wants what he is offering. I thought the scene between him and Brennan at the end was very sad and very lovely.

The explanation Booth gave in the bar made a lot of sense. Brennan rejected him after all the time they had spent developing into a defacto couple. So he goes to Afghanistan and meets a girl who wants him whereas Bones didnt. He needed that. He needed someone as ideal to help him heal from that profound rejection but Hannah helping to heal him that way made him feel grateful and indebted to her. So when Bones wanted him back he was angry because to all appearances she only wanted him because another woman had him. Booth is loyal and Hannah earned his loyalty by being the first woman to seemingly return his feelings. Being screwed over like he had he would be extra sensitive about doing that to someone else. So he couldn’t ditch Hannah for Bones. But then Hannah rejects his proposal and he feels foolish for believing in her. It really makes perfect sense.

I really with EW would post a full re-cap of last night’s ep.

ugh…. i do think that booth’s proposal was instigated by sweets. but i didn’t actually think he would go through with it. i too think this is out of character for him. i thought he would have struggled more due too his feelings for bones. i was shocked when he actually proposed. he did say that he was ‘mad,’ and not hurt. which makes me think that he was possibly just trying to get settled? maybe everything that sweets said to him shook him up and he decided he didn’t want to be alone and this spontaneous act isn’t about true love at all? I don’t know. this last episode left me disappointed and confused. however, i am all for booth and bones NOT hooking up… i mean, look what happened on the office. pam and jim hook up and that show has never been the same since. i guess we’ll see what happens. i have a feeling tho that this show is no longer going to be as good as it once was. first i find out peter still has feelings for fauxlivia on fringe and now this…. how frustrating.

watched this episode and it broke my heart! The focus of this episode was more on the relationships than the homicides, and it has been nice to see Brennan show emotion in recent episodes – she had gotten to be such a robot lately.

what they all need is a few sessions with Gordon-Gordon!! Booth is definately in love with love itself. He has a several sexually based relationships in the past that we have seen and more that we haven’t, but they never grow or go anywhere. His relationship with Bones is intellectually based with surrounding sexual tension. It is the real basis for a long and lasting pairing. Maybe Gordon-Gordon can get him to see this and realize this about himself. Didn’t someone give Angela a no sex vacation for her to focus!! It is needed again for Booth.

I think this show lost its ‘punch’ for lack of a better word when it strayed from the intellectuality of the shows premise. When I forget his name now but I think it was Zack, when he was sent to jail for a silly thing like doing what a mass killer wanted him to ‘they’ totally lost me. That boy (he was just very young and gave Brennen a run for her money as far as intellect went) really should have been kept because he was a real partner with the blue eyed very cute guy (Hodgens). Angela with Hodgens works so well and I loved the ZZ top dad. Otherwise the Psychitrist and his cookie girlfriend and the multitude of people trying and failing to replace Zack were too much for me. Sometimes messing with a good thing is just dumb. I know I know, the show has continued for many years but I just can’t stand the dumbness of the show. Get the smarts back and I bet you can revive the show for many more years. I used to love the show. GG

Hey, guy’s don’t give up from what I have read in the past, and from what I do see know, is that wee where not the only one’s that did not like the plot with Hannah,

I do agree that they have lost the corky law enforcer side and the under cover story’s.

I just bought the 4 first season of bones I have seen them and that is what is missing the fun that Booth an Brennan had together on there cases. That passion that they had for the truth.

I find, I wish that they can make the B and B duo be together, but they should take 1 step at a time, stop making her have other men in her lives that seam’s like squint’s as Booth say’s.

I believe that the writher’s have something in mind. They won’t let the show die just like that.

Again, has Gordon Gordon wants’ said hope and patience.

  • Casey

It’s easy. They dig up some cursed site and Booth is turned into Angelus (again) and makes Hannah a vampire before Bones and Co. can restore his soul. Then, Booth and Bones can never have sex, or he will turn evil, and Hannah the vampire then torments them aka Gormogon for the next several seasons… Best of both worlds!

  • Lesley

Actually, I think this was the worst episode I have seen of the show. “i’m not the marrying type” is simply… bizarre. shark jump.

Hey my friends’ is it just me but the February 17th show wich was yesterday I’ am not so very happy with well it got better in the last 20 minutes.

I miss the B and B duo it as if they are scared to have the bought of them together on the show. Wee fell in love the couple that they are for there magic for the fun that those 2 have or had together. Make them come back and make them be happy and make them have a relationship together before the kill the show. For what I do see at this moment they are making a big deal out of the Cam and the doctor thing but how about the B and B duo.

I know that when they do get a couple together in the show some time’s it kill’s the spice but at this moment I do not thing that there is any thing they don’t even seem like a team or partners.

I hope that they will make it right.

This was a mistake and a boring one at that. It changed the chemistry of the show. I will begin watching again after Hannah is killed off. Why do Producers, etc. fix something that is not broken by introducing something lame in the storyline.

In the show, “Moonlighting” of a couple decades ago, it survived the building chemistry between Bruce Willis and Cybil Shepard without interlopers being introduced as more than a plaything.

We aren’t emotionally equipped to accept a trio. Brennen cannot be that much of a social misanthrope to not realize she is in danger of losing the man she loves whether she knows she loves him or not. I will admit they have drawn that storyline out long enough.

    Ex-fan until ex-Hannah
