A new Volkswagen commercial featuring a child dressed as Darth Vader trying desperately to use the Force around his home (and then in the driveway), is innately awesome. I won’t spoil the punch line for you, but watch it below, and I trust you’ll get it. What I don’t understand is how, as views approach the 2 million mark on YouTube, there are at least 175 people who “dislike” it. Seriously? How? Did they not cry at Up either?

Very Cute. Is George Lucas getting a Volkswagon for this ?
Hahaha!
Loved it!
Saw this yesterday and LOVED IT. So cute!
Some people will DISLIKE anything just to get attention. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it.
Most adorable thing ever!!!
I loved this commercial. But just for the record, no, I did not cry when I watched “Up” and I thought it was a horribly depressing movie.
lmao….too cute for words….
Stars Wars commericals? Don’t you mean Star Wars?
Why do you assume it’s a boy child? It could be a girl – you do see Darth Vadar trying to move a doll in a girl’s room, you know.
definitely a girl!!
Nono, it was the brother attempting to force-choke his sisters dolly. Dark-side style.
Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this. I say it’s a girl. Because Star Wars isn’t a boy’s club. …and I totally would have dressed at Darth Vader as a kis if I didn’t find Leia’s hairbuns so stylish (don’t hate on my awesome fashion sense)
Because the official description of the video on YouTube refers to the child as a “he.”
That’s got to be one of the cutest commercials I’ve seen in a while.
Funny moment. Even though you can’t see the kid’s face behind the mask, his body language at that moment says it all.
Agreed. All the emotion is there with nothing but that helmet
Star Wars is dead, man.
Just say that to Carrie Fisher’s face. LOL!
It made me laugh, that’s an adorable commercial! Volkswagen has a knack for producing unique spots. What a fun idea!
The thing I liked best about this commercial (other than that it’s adorable and funny) is that we actually don’t know for sure that the mini-Vader is a “he” – at one point he or she is in a very pink room, obviously a child’s room. But there are no other kids in the ad. So perhaps it’s a girl! Or a boy who really likes pink. Nicely done.
Definitely a boy. I thought that the doll was suppose to represent Yoda.
The official description by VW says “he.” I am inclined to think he was trying to choke his younger sister’s doll. Makes more sense.
The doll was sitting in a Yoda position. The boy was challenging the doll because the doll knows the way of the Force, in his mind anyway.
