Long live CHUCK, please keep this great show going!
Terrific episode. It had a little bit of everything (Action, romance, danger, heroism, etc.). Love how they didn’t overhype the proposal at the end.
It was such a fun episode and I’m extremely happy we have another 11 episodes to watch. Here’s hoping the ratings pick up for another season of Team Bartowski awesomeness!
This episode epitomizes why Chuck is one of the best shows on TV today. The story line is perfect – humor mixed in with drama. The casting is perfect, as evidenced by the Jeffster performance. And the soundtrack is incredible. I think I’ve bought almost every single they’ve featured in their program.
I hope NBC gets the message and keeps this show on the air for many seasons to come!!
Love that the creative team went for “quiet and meaningful” with Chuck’s proposal to Sarah in the hospital hallway. Even with no dialogue, Zac Levi and Yvonne Strahovski have such incredible chemistry that they totally sold the scene with nothing more than a few touches and eye contact (did you notice the redness of Chuck’s eyes as he’s opening the ring box, as he’s trying not to tear up?). It’s right up there with the one of Sarah’s heartbreak and panic over possibly being too late to save Chuck from having his mind destroyed (Chuck vs Phase Three).
Great episode! Not as good as Phase 3 but it had all of the best elements that may Chuck on of the best ever. The simplicity of the the proposal was the highlight…all you need is the girl and the moment; the rest never matters. It’s truly a shame that with all the crap that is shown on the other networks that NBC doesnt do more to promote this show.
Love this show. Probably my second favorite episode after Chuck vs. the Other Guy. However I am not too hopeful about the shows chances of a season 5 pick up. Lately it seems like NBC is determined to kill Chuck, no marketing for this episode at all. And this weeks ratings aren’t helping anything. Wish I had a Nielsen box.
Jeffster is comic genius! Roll on the floor and laugh out hysterically funny. Had Push It in my head for 2 days straight!
The only thing about Chuck I do not like is never knowing if it will be on the following season. I was over joyed when I read that it had been picked for an additional 11 episodes making 24 for the year. Now, I wish NBC would give us the green light on season 5. It is literally the only show on NBC I watch lol. As for the episode while it was good, and Jeffster while annoying was funny this time, and the proposal was great, overall it was a bit of a let down, I expected more based on the trailer for it. Still an overall good episode, but I was let down a little.
My favorite Chuck episode ever. And that is really saying something. I love them all.
Just got done watching, OMG! Awesome! Love Jeffster! Loved the action, the drama everything! I’ve never missed an episode and it totally brought everything together, from the tenseness of the cabin, seeing Volkoff’s men moving on the family! Great pay off! It would have been a great series ender, so glad its not over but wonder where they go next.
I could go on and on about how amazing Chuck is, but the last 114 comments on this article already did! Now I just hope NBC is paying attention. Give Chuck five seasons!
“they more than made up for it”
Yes, yes, and yes they did. I completely agree with you that this is the perfect proposal moment that is unique to Chuck and Sarah. The balcony moment still grips me when I watch (and I consider that half of Chuck’s proposal), but this wonderfully fits. I knew I was right to trust the creators when they interrupted the first one, they’ve never failed to please and surprise.
That could’ve been a perfect series finale, but I cannot be any happier that we’ve got lots more to go. (And hopefully a 5th season?)
This was, hands down, the best episode ever in my opinion. It was the most emotional and also the funniest. The Jeffster performance was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on the show. It was perfect all around.
I love the proposal. I thought it was very Chuck and Sarah. I also thought it reminded me of Lee and Amanda’s proposal from Scarecrow and Mrs. King. The fact both final proposals had no dialogue, it was all said with body language and facial expressions. Of course, I see lots of similarities between these shows. Love them both.
