For the life of me, I don’t know why I keep watching this crap. All Brads comments are so rehersed and phony. I thought he was going to get rid of Michelle after she closed the door and sat on his lap and told him not to talk. When he gave her the rose “first” I just about puked. Geeze, now I need a shower!

      • Robin

        LOL! I feel your pain!!

      • sylvie

I feel the same about brads decision choosing Michelle !!! And FIRST…. Please = TERRIBLE !!! What is he thinking ? Seems like all they care about at this point are the ratings. Face it, really, if she is gone, what would there really be to watch….. as sad as it is. lol

      • France

        I had the same reaction.

    • jap

Michelle needs to be booted off the show…she is poison to all the others and she lies and is just downright sickening – is he that stupid

  • Lynn

I thought Brad handled the situation the best he could. He didn’t force Emily into anything once he knew the truth, and in the end I think it could wind up being very cathartic for her. I’m rooting for her and Michelle has to go! But based on that preview I’m not holding my breath for either to happen.

    • dally

I think they are totally setting Emily up as the next Bachelorette.

      • Mike

        duh.

      • Neha

You cldoun’t have known how bad Superman IV would be. From what I’ve heard, the badness is beyond imagining. On my first date, we saw the Nutcracker, followed by a late showing of The Road Warrior. Entertainment whiplash!

    • Heidi

Michelle is smart, and she reads his face well. She knew what he needed and proivded that for him at the ceremony. He was not only turned on but she made him feel good about being there.
Putting Chantal last was his way of telling Chantal she needs to watch the way she’s always on him. She said ‘we’re good right?’ and he didn’t look like he agreed. He’s very attracted to her but not sure her emotion isn’t high maintenaince drama. He’s warning her and I think he did so because she’ll be one of the end ladies. He wants her to get it and I think she did get the point.

      • Heidi

and FYI she is alot more Jillian and alot less Vienna than my above post sounds. I do like Chantel. I also wanted to say I liked the first part of what she said about seeing he was a great man by the way he tended to Emily. Because whether ABC execs or producers set up the date or not, it kinda had to be an Emily date, or Brad would’ve looked like a jerk. So he was trapped and probably really mad that it went down like that.

  • Meg

Seriously Brad- this is your second trip to the rodeo, and yet you have no idea that when you single a girl out 4 times on one date that the other girls are going to feel ignored? You really had no idea until Chantal told you? And how have you not figured out that Michelle is a sociopath?

    • Heidi

Meg, he knew they all knew her story and like her, and they cared too. He probably was single minded in helping her through the experience and had he known he probably would’nt have had it a group date after all. He figured they’d get it, maybe wish they had more time with him, but that there time could come.

As for Michelle – she just did something any guy would find a major turn on. He was tending to tears all night – and she just told him how amazing a man he is, that she admires him in every way, and then she gave him alot of kisses. I know he’ll sort it out in future but honestly she is no ‘evil girl’ she’s just self-centred. But She’s smart and sexy and not insecure about herself, and those were three things he was looking (and didn’t find) ALL night.

  • SUSAN

Wondering the reasoning behind keeping Michelle. I am beginning to think that it is just for drama. She doesn’t give women a good name.

    • RK

      duh

    • RK

More manufactured crap. They had it planned from day 1.

    • Heidi

read above on my thoughts about it.

    • Mel

      Michelle = actress. Just fyi…

  • dally

I have mixed feelings. Of course she was going to feel bad and I think the producers were insensitive (especially with the small plane on the one-on-one date),

but it’s been 5 years since her fiance died. She talks like it was a few months ago.

And as for her complaints about telling her story and guys backing off…. guys would probably like her more if she stopped calling her late fiance the “love of her life”. She was 18. He may or may not have been the love of her life. But calling him that makes it sound like any new guy could only be 2nd best, and why would anyone want that?

    • Kat

You don’t think she would feel like she was disrespecting her fiance by *not* considering him the love of her life? That saying “Oh, he was great, but you’re sooooo much better” might be really difficult for her? How do you think widows/widowers handle getting back into the dating pool when the love of their life dies after like 20 years together? If you’re dating someone who’s lost their significant other like that, you might just have to accept that you will be loved as much as the first guy, but not more. If Brad can’t accept that, then it’s totally fair because not every person could – but you can’t expect Emily to dismiss that part of her life so easily. It might make it harder for her to find someone to date, but someone in her situation will need to find a more understanding man than you might normally encounter.

      • dally

No I don’t think she would be disrespecting her late fiance. She could say that theres was *A* great love and might have been *the love of her life* if he had lived, but saying he was *the* great love sounds like there can never be anyone else. YMMV

      • France

Emily doesn’t have to say anything at all. I was engaged and my fiance was killed. Leave it at that. If Emily wonders why guys runs for the hills, it’s exactly because she says too much and still seems so emotionally invested/not healed.

  • dally

PS – I also think they’ve been adding women…. that one that went home…Lisa???? Seriously… was she in previous episodes?

    • Excelda

Ha ha. Yes, she was in all the other episodes. She just had virtually no alone time with Old Man River.

      • sue

Michelle scares me. Does she scare Brad when she grabs his face to make him look at her? I hear the music from Psycho in the background.

      • Heidi

in a way I like that – he’s not just handing out kisses and going on in succession. We already know who has his heart (or who’se a definite contender), which then puts the remaining girls on more dates with him, giving him more 1-1 time to see if they are matched.

Personally I think the final three will be Chantel, Britt, and Emily. Number four could be Michelle if the girls don’t all decide to throw her under the bus…I don’t see much with Ashley, Jacquie, or even Alli (more than friendship)

  • Heidi

Marisa made a valiant effort but it was too late. Really sweet idea but he still went with his original thoughts.

I kind of hated the “Lonesome Tonight” goodbye to Ashley She’s such a sweetheart. It was Mike Fleiss unable to allow a girl to just be sad, he had to rub it in and humiliate her when she’s at her lowest point. That bothered me more than Michelle by far.

    • France

Nice point. I rarely talk to my television, but as Ashley walked off in tears I said out loud: “You’re going to do a hell of a lot better than that old nothing.” And she will – she’s gorgeous, sweeet, smart and, I hope she’s listening, far too good for Brad. Here we are in, what, week 5? and the guy hasn’t said one intelligent thing – or anything at all! I’ve never seen clearer evidence that the girls just get excited by the entire atmosphere. In the read world, Brad probably couldn’t score more than once with any of them – and only then if they’d had a lot of shots. As for Emily, back in the real world I predict Brad would be shown the door in record time. She needs someone really exceptional, and Brad’s definitely not it.

  • PPK

    Who got sent home?

  • Mary

I think the race track date turned out okay. Brad handled it like a gentleman. Brad should have waited until the end of the date to give Emily the rose until he had some time to give the other girls some attention but he gave the rose to the right person. Brad needs to start speaking with each girl about his refusal to leave where he lives to see if they are willing to move, if picked. MICHELLE NEEDS TO GO!!!

  • markie51

Michelle need to go. I really expected her to bring out a whip, strip down to her bikini and do a little S&M on Brad behind closed doors. If Brad end up with Michelle, then he has a lot of explaining to do with his therapist. Do anyone know if the guy who came in to get the suitcase was Austin “Chumlee” Russel from the History Channel’s “Pawn Stars” which is set in Las Vegas. He looked and acted like “Chumlee.”

  • BooBoo

I wonder if we will ever see a minority Bachelor/Bachelorette or Same Sex Version of the show.

As for tonight’s episode, I always crack up when Brad’s “life coach” shows up and spits out his cliches.

Was Emily wearing a wedding ring in the car? Why would Brad want to be with her if she keeps on talking about Ricky.

  • the world

crazy girls are great in bed! go michelle!

  • BooBoy

I can’t believe people actually watch this show. Sad lives, sad lives indeed.

    • Lola

Second only to people who troll and make insulting comments to those who watch said show yet allegedly don’t watch it themselves. Now who’s pathetic and needs a life?

      • Nic

Abby,You will get begigr-God is doing BIG things through you! We love you and we pray for you daily. With LoveThe Mann Family

  • Ineedtostopwatchingthiscrap

First, Why and gods name would the producers ever allow that date and knowingly let Emily walk into that. They knew that her late fiance and father of her child had the accident on that track. I mean there is no doubt that they didn’t set that up for more ratings and to see what juice they could get from it. Not that this show is anything more than some mediocre entertainment, but come on. I don’t care how long its been… Losing a loved one whether its a fiance, husband/wife, mother/father etc… never goes away. Every single time I walk into the hospital my father passed in it brings back every bit the same emotions. I feel she was truly set up and I am sure at some point she thought that too. How is she suppose to trust moving forward, regardless if its not Brads fault. She has to trust the producers as well.

    • markie51

The fiance died in a plane crash on his way to a race. Emily was supposed to be on the plane but she wasn’t feeling well and stayed home.

      • Kat

True, but the fiance did have a crash that I believe ended his career at that particular track. So it certainly still brings up very painful memories.

      • Rian

Awww! I am lokoing forward to seeing Abby’s prom pictures on the blog! I just know she will grow big and more and more beautiful…inside and out!

    • anonymous

Talk about the psychological damage the producers are putting Emily through. Jeeze !!!

  • jeannine hackney

I have a strange feeling that Brad is going to fink out again!!!!!

    • Allison

What you call “fink out” I call “be one of the only sane people in this franchise.” Tomato, toMAto.
