Ortega/PR Photos; Glenn Harris/PR Photos; Solarpix/PR PhotosNow that the next James Bond movie is back in action — with a November 2012 release date, and with Daniel Craig cast once again as super suave secret agent 007 — we have just one question: Who should play the next Bond baddie? Rumors have been swirling since even before the 23rd Bond film was put on hold last April (thanks to money problems at MGM) that Rachel Weisz was up for the part. That would be cozy casting, considering she’s rumored to be Craig’s girlfriend. There’s also been long-whispered rumors that Michael Sheen was being courted by the Bond producers. Both are interesting choices to play successors to the likes of Gert Fröbe and Donald Pleasence, but I’ve always felt that the best Bond villains always loom much larger on the screen, both physically and theatrically — and are usually bald. Whose head would we want to shave for the part? Maybe Christoph Waltz’s? His villainous Nazi in Inglourious Basterds pretty much stole that film. Or, if it had to be an Englishman, how about Ricky Gervais’? After his performance at the Golden Globes, he’s certainly proven he can do evil. We have no idea if he can act, but WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has both the looks and the name for the part. Or how about Alec Baldwin? He’s quite capable of going over the top.
What about you, Pop Watchers? What actor do you most want to see with a white cat in his or her lap?

Denzel Washington
ok, alright. You said Denzel Washington right? You said it. My man.
YES.
I think he is a great chcioe in some ways, and a bad chcioe in others. He will make a great Bond, albeit a slightly too blond one for my liking (will they die the hair?). But I’m not sure he is the prime age. Sean Connery was, I think, 31 when he started the whole thing off in Dr No. And I worry that Craig is too much of a theatre lovey to want to remain in the role for all that long – see Christopher Eccleston and his brief stint as Dr Who, for example. I’m all for grittier Bonds and grittier Bond films though – but lets not kid ourseves into thinking that they won’t include eye-popping car chases, stunning women, silly gadgets and stereotype baddies. And so they should.
Do we even know who the bad guy would be? Since they are rebooting the franchise in a way with Casino Royale, wouldn’t it be great to have an updated spin on Blofeld!!!!
The Liberal Agenda
You’re not even trying anymore, Larry.
Christopher Eccleston
I could so see a maniac Christopher Eccleston. Plus get him known to U.S. audiences
Kuddos to you. Wanna be my best friend?
If he hadn’t retired from acting, it would have been great fun to see Sean Connery playing a Bond villain.
He was in talks years ago when Pierce Brosnan was Bond, but they couldn’t come up with a script that he would sign off on. Too bad he retired is right! He’d be great!!
I’d be down for seeing Roger Moore or especially Pierce Brosnan do it though. Timothy Dalton already did the spy villain thing on Chuck though so he’s out
Moore and Brosnan weren’t even gritty enough to play Bond properly, can’t imagine either as a villain.
The (White) Tea Party!!! LOL.
gotta keep in mind the brilliant, serious tone of the Craig films so far – meaning, no bald, over-the-top, self-parodies…
and after the last flick implicated the brit PM’s inner circle as in league with quantum, maybe a legit, brit baddie as a foil for Craig.
say… Michael Sheen, Colin Firth, Tom Wilkinson or even – dare I say it – Canadian Christopher Plummer.
The idea of a woman as the main villain is interesting (and Weisz would be really good).
I’d also like to see Bond go up against a villain who is both brilliant and a physical match for him: bring on Idris Elba! (who could easily pull off both)
Holloway, I just want to cast Idris in anything personally because I think he is such a capable actor. I wouldn’t mind seeing him pull something between Luther and Stringer!!
Terence Stamp. Ray Winstone. Forest Whitaker. Tommy Lee Jones. Stellan Skarsgard. Jeremy Irons. Brian Cox. Jean Claude Van Damme.
Considerably harder to find a good female Bond villain. You want them to be older/distinguished, and to kick ass. I keep coming up with Helen Mirren, and then no one else.
Helen Mirren is an excellent suggestion. I think Glenn Close could pull it off as well.
Liam Neeson
Ricky Gervais- that would be awesome
He kinda-sorta did evil in “Alias” as well.
Make Rachel Weisz happen. We need a good female villain.
Can Eva Green magically return? No?
Well, casting Michael Sheen may make that better.
They both definitely both have their usepdis and their downsides, most arguments against warriors of rock is that the set list is too hard and not varied, Neversoft tried to make the game challenging, unless your a veteran guitar hero player, can play hard pretty well, then I would recommend rockband 3, it has easier songs, and more varied set list, but you will need deep pockets for it, being priced at over 300 dollars for the full pack. If you are into more metal/Hard Rock, then GH
Charlie Sheen.
nah, he’ll be dead by the time they start filming. YAY!!!!
