I just watched “The Natural” last night. Great movie with a classic musical score. My heart still skips a beat for Mr. Redford.
Robert Redford has gone on to produce and direct movies-Conspiritor
I really miss Gene Hackman-I loved him in the Quick and the Dead, and Crimson Tide, course I love all his movies, even his Lex Luthor
So glad you recognized one of my favorite films of the last 10 years “Spy Game”. Totally awesome movie that just comes to life when Robert Redford is on the screen. Love the actor/actresses from that generation who have aged naturally (for the most part). It shows character and adds something to their on screen performances that botox/facelifts have taken away from many (Glenn Close). Really hope to see Redford on screen again in a good project. As for Warren Beatty, well was never a fan and the ridiculous lighting he insists on in his films (see any from last 20 years) is just silly and really takes away from the movies.
I want to see Gene Hackman in a great family type movie with Ryan Gosling. I think that’s his name. After that horrid superman remake, it shows how much Gene Hackman is really missed.
Operation Dinner Out!
@ Jeff: I agree Spy Game is one of the underrated films. Somewhat relatively intelligent and entertaining throughout.
u know what would interesting is to see any of these three turn up in a law and order or a csi as an on going villain or mentor to one of the cast members…any one remember Robin Williams doing homicide episode ?
Doubt we’ll see Hackman again he seems to deft have retired, maybe Redford will make a screen comeback, is Sidney Poiter retired?
