Danny Boyle should’ve been nominated for Best Director for 127 HOURS. Oscars need to broaden their director lists cuz film is a directors’ medium.

I agree that Ryan Gosling got cheated. When will the voters of these awards pay a little attention to the true artist that are rising and the ones that do not have that “name” yet. I quit watching but this year I gave a second chance. Well I am sick again and will stop watching their program. They need to stop snubbing the best.

I will say it. The Dark Knight should have been nominated over Milk. Nolan should have been nominated for best director twice. Once for The Dark Knight and now for Inception, take the Coen Brothers out of there. But I don’t think Nolan is to heart broken about it sitting like Ritchie Rich, bathing in his millions. And how about a movie that got overlooked altogether which is Let Me In. Easily should have been nominated for best film in the place of True Grit or Toy Story or most of khem really. In other years how did the academy pass up Away From Her for best picture? Or how did Matt Damon get snubbed for best actor in The Talented Mr. Ripley by Sean Penn for the sweet and low down? oh that’s right, it was a Woody Allen film. I like Woody Allen, but come on, Sean Penn for the Sweet and Lowdown. Gimme a break.

Hillary Swank, even though having won twice and her co-star, Sam Rockwell, (ALWAYS OVERLOOKED), in “Conviction” a vastly overlooked movie were embarrassingly snubbed. On the same plane…Scorcese’s “The Departed” was NOT as good as Affleck’s “The Town”. As for who should win of the actual nominees, Colin Firth lost a stammer…but James Franco gave up his arm. Had Franco been trapped in a crag off Wuthering Heights and spoke with a British accent, he would stand a better chance! James Franco, Mark Wahlberg, Ryan Gosling, ALL surpassed Colin Firth. The only reason Firth is going to win is because the Academy didn’t award him last year when he gave his best performance in “A Single Man”. Natalie Portman, who’s never been known as a great actress, is suddenly the greatest thespian in the world. What about the fourteen other BETTER performances by Meryl Streep that are constantly looked over? Let BAFTA award Firth and Oscar go to Franco, Wahlberb, Gosling, or Damon.
