'Inception'/'The Room' mashup: This is not a dream

wiseau-dicaprioImage Credit: Melissa MoseleyThe Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has once again seen fit to snub Room auteur Tommy Wiseau. Okay, so the creator of the cult crapfest could only conceivably have been nominated this year in the best live-action short category for The House That Drips Blood on Alex, in which he starred. But that may not stop the mercurial Wiseau concluding the Academy has it in for him, seven years after they so cruelly failed to recognize The Room as one of the most important films of our time (oh, hi, Mark!). Shouldn’t this guy have received some sort of lifetime achievement award by now? I think so!

The good news? Someone has seen fit to combine Wiseau’s meisterwork with a certain Christopher Nolan movie which did receive multiple Oscar nods this morning. Yes, The Room has been Inception-alized. Actually, this is not the first Wiseau/Nolan mashup, but it is easily the best so far.

Is it just me, or does the clip make the so-bad-it’s-good movie look actually, well, good? And, in retrospect, doesn’t “Denny” have remarkably DiCaprio-esque hair? Take a look and see if you agree.

This is proof that Inception’s soundtrack makes anything look awesome! Great editing job… WISEAU SERIOUS!?!?

The two “Peters” in “The Room” = the forger in “Inception.”

The similarities go on and on…

In case anyone wasn’t convinced that the football was robbed of an Oscar…. here is your proof.

I’m calling it now: the football is Johnny’s totem.

We should start a who’s more boo-ti-ful poll: Lisa or Marion Cotillard. Not that it would be a fair poll, though, since Lisa looks great in her red dress.

Lisa is CLEARLY more boo-ti-ful by virtue of everyone in the movie talking about how boo-ti-ful she is.
