Even pre-SNL and Parks and Rec, you can see traces of her oddball, borderline creepy energy bubbling under that innocent smile. I can’t help but imagine her shrieking, “RICK! RICK!” right after posing.
So who makes a better candy striper: Amy Poehler or this other Amy in an early gig?

I know they were going for ‘All-American’ wholesome here, but seriously, it looks like she’s leaning in to poison someone. “Oh, don’t worry, your loved one is in good hands!… Mine!”
That “other gig” of Amy Adams was in a film by little-known director Steven Speilberg. I’m pretty sure that’s not something she hides from her resume…
I think Amy Adams did some girl-on-girl action in the sequel to Cruel Intentions.
And who exactly said that it was something she would hide from her resume?
Seriously…I think that little bit of wordplay went right over Colleen’s head…
Amy was awesome as Andy’s little sister on the old Conan show.
I loved Amy Adams in Catch Me If You Can.
I definitely think these pictures lean more on the creepy side.
There has to be a way to use the Ron Swanson Pyramid of Greatness in response to this picture. Someone help me out….
The hair color is more flattering but everything else in this pic is Amy Sedaris demented!
Amy Poehler’s platinum blonde hair drives me nuts. It’s totally unnatural and unflattering on her. But I guess it makes her happy, so that’s all that really counts?
What is so horrible with the Amy Adams picture? I love that whole scene in Catch Me If You Can because Dicaprio just wants to make her feel better and then she shows off her pretty smile. There is nothing wrong with being in that early gig!!
I don’t think the writer was implying there was anything wrong with that gig, just that it was early in her career, that’s all…and slightly ironic because she’s now known so well and many people may have forgotten she was in that movie.
Oh wow. I was a candy striper in High School and I bore a striking resemblance to this photo! Funny.
