Image Credit: FX As 2010 comes to a close, most people look forward to starting the new year with a clean slate. But does that count when it comes to your DVR? Which episodes from 2010 have you saved and have no immediate plans of deleting? I’m away from my DVR/life partner Peter now, but I do know that he’s still holding onto “Bulletville,” the June season 1 finale of Justified, because he knows I love its cabin shootout, particularly when Timothy Olyphant’s Raylan Givens lies on the floor and shoots up at a cartel crony opening a window to sneak inside, and when two others yell in that all they want is Raylan — Walton Goggins’ Boyd and Joelle Carter’s Ava can go free. (Raylan: “I’m Raylan Givens.” Boyd: “No, I’m Raylan Givens.” Raylan: “Are you tryin’ to be funny?” Boyd: “A little.”) What is that, Peter? You’re right. I also enjoy watching Olyphant’s hair blow in slo-mo in the final seconds of the hour.
Apparently, I have a thing for unexpected, non-action use of slo-mo because I’m also coveting The Good Wife‘s November cliffhanger in which Alicia walked, in slo-mo, to Will’s office to ask him about the second voicemail she never heard. With that, I love that the producers clearly grasped how much fans would be freaking the eff out at the moment, and that for Alicia, preparing to ask that possibly life-changing question (damn you, Elizabeth Reaser for interrupting) would have been one of those times when you should be thinking about what you’re going to say, but all your inner voice is telling you is, “This is really happening. I’m really doing this.”

I never got around to watching Boardwalk Empire…have the whole season recorded but haven’t watched a single minute.
I still have the last 8 episodes to watch! The thing is, I really liked the 1st few…don’t know why I’m putting off watching the rest!
I must agree. It’s tough to get through the first couple of episodes but it gets MUCH better. You’ll love it.
I have the last 2 eps and need to watch the 3rd-last from On Demand first. I really liked the show early in the season but have lost enthusiasm for it and am not sure I’ll watch season 2. But maybe I’ll change my mind.

“The End” is still on mine as well, as is “The Candidate”. other shows that are still on mine are the Dexter Finale… well, actually the whole second half of the season. The 4th episode of The Walking Dead.

I still have “The End”, too. I also have the first half of the last season of Smallville; I’m waiting for my dad to watch them all. Oh, and I have “Doctor Who”‘s 2010 Christmas Special, “A Christmas Carol”; it was just so fantastic!
I still have all of season 6 of Lost saved on my DVR and have no plans of deleting it any time soon.
The end, too. Best episode ever.

Smallville and Supernatural. I only deleted Lost after I bought the DVDs.
I had all of Smallville. I just re-watched all the good stuff and deleted last night. My finger hovered over deleting Homecoming but I did it.
I have Supernatural on DVR… can’t get enough of this show. Can’t wait for the new episodes.

saved all 6 of The Walking Dead. I enjoyed it and I think my husband would too, but he’s in Iraq, so they are saved till he gets home. i figure the rest we can live without
i agree. i may NEVER delete The Walking Dead. if for no other reason than so many of my friends missed it and i love being able to watch it with them. its like seeing it for the first time all over again. October is TOO FAR AWAY
Its sad… but I refuse to delete Tosh.0 from my DVR. I have the whole season still saved and I will randomly put one on to kill 30 minutes when needed.
….Nothing? What is the point in saving one of these programs if you have seen it? Go buy the dvd or blu-ray…Although Justified is a great choice if I ever saw one

i watch the last 15 minutes or so every time i need a good cry!
The last 15 minutes always make me cry too. Cry over the 6 years of my life I gave to a show that turned into rubbish.

That episode is like a bad break-up! I want to let go, but I can’t. The finale stayed on my DVR for months, then mysteriously got deleted. I still don’t have closure.

Still have most of Boardwalk Empire. Not sure I liked the first ones I watched. All of True Blood and The Event. Not going to watch any until I see if it cancelled…lol
