Image Credit: Craig Sjodin/ABCNow that I rewatched all of the glorious Better Off Ted on instant Netflix, I miss it all over again. But all is not lost! Ted creator Victor Fresco has a new project in the works, according to Vulture: A single-camera comedy called Sunnyside, based on the Swedish series Solsidan. The show is about a young couple that moves back to the husband’s home town after the wife becomes pregnant.
I loved Ted for its subversiveness and absurdity, and if there’s any arena that’s prime for subversive absurdity, it’s the ‘burbs. Plus maybe there’ll be a cursing episode! God, I love this extremely NSFW series of insults:
Aaagh, I just want a few more visits to Veridian HQ!
But okay, PopWatchers, this is still good news: Don’t you think a Better Off Ted sensibility applied to suburban ridiculata will be a treat?

I’m still mad at ABC for this. Plus, they promised they would show the last two episodes but NEVER DID. Ugh. Everyone on this show was brilliant….I miss it so much.
BRING IT BACK!!
Why didn’t Ellen ever promote Better Off Ted? Come on, your wife is on this show, tell people to watch it. There are millions of people who will literally do anything you say.
She actually did promote it…
They should have moved it to wednesdays
Is there any word on when the Season 2 DVD will be released? Yes, I watched the final 2 episodes on Netflix. However, unlike ABC, I know how to recognize a quality program worth owning.
Also, why aren’t these being released on blu ray? I need to see Portia and Andrea in glorious HD.
oh god, that show was so good…
Any of the BOT cast going to be on? It’s easy to picture any of the regulars fitting nicely in suburbia.
…And the TV world suddenly shifts back in balance…
Sigh, Better Off Ted. I’m still not over its cancellation.
As long as he doesn’t shop it to ABC. They obviously don’t care for him, otherwise they wouldn’t have treated the brilliant Better Off Ted like absolute garbage.
I think it could fit well on NBC, and NBC has almost always supported their acclaimed (even if low-rated) sitcoms. If not NBC, then I could see it fitting in well on a cable network like FX.

I watched BoT when it was on, and just recently caught up on Fresco’s equally great Andy Richter Controls the Universe. So excited to see him back on tv with a new, sure to be quirky, funny, and quickly canceled show
