I didn’t grow up reading Superman comic books and I’ve never seen an episode of Smallville. Read the full post.

I think Hans will put a little bit of John Williams work in there as a sign as respect to him and fans. It’s just like the music for the Harry Potter movies. John Williams did the music for the first two and everyone after that put a little bit of his Hedwig’s Theme in their scores.
No. We already got a ‘sign of respect’ (aka 2 hour tribute) with Superman Returns. Time to move on and stop living in the late 1970s.
I think its a good idea. Hans Zimmer is awesome. He can just create memorable scores of Films just like Williams. Think of all of the scores that Zimmer created: The Lion King, Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean etc and all of those scores that williams created: Harry Potter, Star Wars and every Steven Spelpbeig movie!! I think it’ll be good.
I still think they should have stuck with Bryan Singer’s concept for the second film and kept Brandon Routh as Superman. Really, I liked the whole cast and would have liked to see them in part 2. I doubt I will go see the reboot.
I disagree with that. The Superman score seems so much more iconic. The way the horns build up as he’s about change into costume and then the cymbals crash, etc. However, just like how the original Batman theme wouldn’t have worked for Nolan’s universe, maybe this new direction they’re taking it needs a different score. Gotta reserve judgment.
EW why is this listed under ‘Remakes’? This will not be a remake of the Donner Superman film.
I’m sure it will be good, I love John Williams’ Superman theme it’s actually probably better than the movies it accompanies),but Zimmer is a great film composer and it’s a little like complaining they didn’t use the theme from the 50s TV show in Richard Donner’s Superman.
I don’t know if any of you know this but tyler bates is a hans zimmer apprentice.anyhoo I if that script leak is the true plot of the upcoming movie I am going to gouge my eyes out. I’d rather tape my eyes back and watch the crap that was superman returns again.
Why not give the job to an unknown young composer….giving fresh talent from a new generation a break
IF IT AIN’T BROKE DON’T FIX IT!!!!
