R.I.P
Empire is a very good film, and yes the best of the Star Wars films. (prequel myopia blinds many to the fact that Episode II is actually pretty good, even with Not Franco had all of his acting promise flayed off him by Ep II), But Kirschner’s film was masterful. I still think it’s a crime that his Robocop II was decimated in order to up the action, at the expense of what had promised to be a very dramatic story.
