Tori Spelling's talk show gets a co-host with lots of experience 'Flipping Out'

Back in April, news broke that ABC was developing a daytime talk show for Spelling and a co-host that would give the enterprise a “Will & Grace vibe.” Well, it looks like Lewis will be providing the Will after what the L.A. Times reports as the pair’s good chemistry during a test pilot.

We here at EW love us some Lewis — the latest season of Flipping Out landed on the Must List in August. Still, anyone who’s seen his Bravo reality series would agree that he’s somewhat … intense? And since Spelling’s no shrinking violet, this could be an awful lot of energy for one daytime duo. What do you think? Inspired idea?

I don’t know. I love Tori. Jeff is likeable, but can be petty and mean(ish) at times. It’s one think if Letterman turns on a guest. When he does it, the audience is entertained, but I don’t feel entertained when I see Jeff calling out Zoila or Jenny. But Jeff always surprises me, so there may be facets to his personality that may work in a daytime chat show environ. I’ll definitely tune in.

Agreed, Jeff can be a massive jerk, like playground bully level mean.

get sean hayes or mario cantone.

Funny that people complained about husband stealer Leann Rimes on the cover of a magazine, but people will watch a tv show with husband stealer Tori?

Tori didn’t go on and on about it. She didn’t act like his kid was hers. Leann on the other hand hasn’t shut up since she stole this guy from his family. She shouldn’t have kept it quiet until he was divorced.

oops.. should have kept it quiet…

    Love me some Lewis

Ugh of all people. Jeff Lewis would not make a good cohost. His ego is too big for even his own reality show

Why does Tori need a cohost? Jeff would not be good. I think she should do the show alone. Oprah, Ellen, and Bonnie did it. Get a good band, good guests, and be sure to give stuff away to the audience. This would work. No cohost, just Tori, and it shoud be called Tori.

Tori didn’t go on and on about it???
She plastered herself on the cover of the tabloids flaunting her extra marital affair and then created a reality show about it! She is a home wrecking wh***!

You are all nay sayers and obviously jealous. When did any of you become producers or actors or talk show hosts. What makes you experts. I say give it a go. I believe Jeff and Tori would be perfect together and they will prove their own air chemistry will make a super successful show. Both intelligent and driven people and Jeff has a great sense of humor. What you all are interpreting Jeff’s humor as mean is really wit and apparently goes over all your heads….I say go for it and let the rating speak for themselves. It is a match made in TV heaven!

now i’m very interested in the show. i’m very surprised it’s a daytime talk show for ABC, hope they don’t tone down for middle america.

Lewis has been funny and acerbically charming on Watch What Happens. I’m more worried about Spelling’s performance than his.

As soon as this show airs people will be asking themselves “Oprah who?” CAN’T WAIT!!

    watching it

First let me say I have never posted to any threads but this deserves a nod.

This is a match made in BGF heaven!! Tori is an absolute doll and Jeff is not only an amazing designer but he just the right amount of crazy (which some may think of as being an ass) to balance the show out. Plus Jeff adopts and cares for all of his pets like their his children which I love.
