I actually think these all sound great. Aside from “Teenage Dream,” I found this week’s music to be a bit forgettable, and these sound good. I’m excited for the “Chicago” cover. I like the Umbrella/Singin’ mashup, and that’s saying something as Artie’s singing voice is usually not my cup of tea…
Oh I’m excited for “Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag”
Not that I’m complaining about Gwyneth Paltrow being on the show, because I think she’s adorable, but why would Will need a sub for Glee club? When I was in school, if the teacher was out sick then the club meetings were just canceled for that day. Is she also going to sub his Spanish classes?
I believe that is correct. Remember, Will was a Spanish teacher before he ever took over coaching glee club, so if someone is subbing for him, then it would be in his capacity as a Spanish teacher. Plus, if that substitute teacher happens to have a background in music, why wouldn’t they sub for glee club as well? Especially with their sectionals coming up soon, the club wouldn’t want to miss any practices.
OMG why are they mashing up my favourite song of all time with some Rihanna rubbish that does not match (other than the titles of course)ok well the rihanna song isn’t too bad but they sound atrocious mashed up. Don’t touch Singin In The Rain, leave it as it is.

I can’t shake the thought of Quagmire singing “Make ‘Em Laugh” before Glee does it.
The episode reminds me of “School of Rock”. Actually, substitute teachers are required to teach anything. It’s a good gig, pays about $100 a day. Better than acting.
Man, the previews made me think “Nowadays” was being performed by Santana and Brittany. Now THAT would have been fun (assuming Heather could handle the singing part).
Is it me, but I’m struggling to hear Gwyneth’s voice (well, except nowadays and hot honey rag).
Nevertheless, sounds like a good show!
I agree with everyone who’s saying that the “Umbrella/Singin’ in the Rain” mash-up sounds horrible. I really don’t like the cover of ‘Forget You”- Gwyneth has a nice voice, but she can’t really pull that one off. “Make ‘Em Laugh” definitely sounds the best and Lea and Gwyneth sound great in the “Nowadays/Hot Honey Rags” song.
Who is singing with Rachel in “Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag”? Is it Gwyneth? or Santana?
This is the same Paltrow who moved to England & said she HATED the U.S. & would never come back! I guess she can’t make any money in the U.K.!! Just GO AWAY for good!!
