Judging from this new trailer for Little Fockers, it looks like Paul Weitz may finally be digging his way out of director’s jail. Paul and his brother Chris co-directed a terrific adaptation of Nick Hornby’s About a Boy back in 2002, and then went their mostly separate ways. Chris landed big-tent projects like The Golden Compass and New Moon, while Paul had less luck with movies like American Dreamz and Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. But this new trailer for Little Fockers, the third film in the Focker family franchise, with Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, and Barbra Streisand all reprising their roles, makes us wonder if Paul is finally coming into his own. If nothing else, it’s a vast improvement on the earlier trailer Universal released for the film last month. But what do you think Popwatchers? Are you ready for yet another Focker?

I’ll see anything with Streisand. She is one of a kind.
I think of Barbra Streisand, i think of South Park; Mecha-Streisand.
Sorry, but this movie looks HORRIBLE.
That’s strange, my name is Joel and I totally agree.
Totally agree. It doesn’t look funny at all.
Sorry, not happening.
Really looks bad. Unfunny and recycling old jokes. A little boy seeing two men holding a hard on- Wow, really funny.
Wow…that really looks awful.
My name is not MsSuniDaze. But I agree with you too.
Streisand and Hoffman can be so funny, but this movie looks awful!
I thought it looks great! I can’t wait and I am definitely going to see it. Time for some good laughs…
Okay, some of it looked pretty bad. But the Owen Wilson bit where he put the kid to sleep cracked me up!
This looks like a case of squandering a mostly great cast in a mostly terrible movie…I hope the critics drub it and its box office numbers underwhelm.
