Love this show so far. Although I am a little disturbed by all the gore, well actually I am a little disturbed by how not disturbed I am. I don’t even flinch when I see these things on tv anymore.
I wouldn’t feel too bad about that, MDS. When they are getting chased you probably feel fear, and when the racist was pummeling T-dog you probably felt anger. It is hard to ‘feel’ anything when the guy they were cutting up was already dead (twice over, actually), his face wasn’t shown, and it was clearly a dummy. The effects on the zombies that move around are wonderful, but all the ‘corpses’ on the ground look very unrealistic and out of place. Add in the organ donor joke and that scene (and the one after it very similar to Sean of the Dead) just made that part of the episode comedic relief instead of a drama. Rest of the episode was great though. Minus the raunchy opening anyway.
My God. @Luanne you are a nut. I am sorry but it is true. While the show is capable for giving me nightmares as well, I am still enthralled with the show and will watch it. But I am 30. I think you should make sure that your kids do not watch a show that does have a parental warning before it airs and after every commercial break and airs at 10pm on a Sunday night. Seriosly, the show is great and you will never succeed in canceling. But you and your book club could have fun trying. Perhaps it will be a bonding experience for you. How sweet.
I think Luanne should pack up the kids and move to San Francisco so they can’t have any Happy Meals! Unless Luanne was being tongue in check she’s a blithering lover of the nanny state
Oops. Cheek!
This show Rocks!
Love this show. the walkers remind me of my ex.
Renwed for a 2nd season! 13 more episodes. Sweet! And don’t worry about Louann, if her efforts spawned attention from the Parent Television Council, that would only help the ratings (e.g. Italian American Defamation league vs. Sopranos). Besides, based on her last statement, I think she was joking.
Ok, I love all things Zombie and I really like this show, but I am annoyed by the general lack of common-sense. For instance:
1) Getting zombie blood in any scratch or orifice is deadly. So why does EVERYONE have to watch the dismemberment? And their only safety precaution is to turn their head when the axe strikes (thereby aerosolizing a lot of zombie remains)? Geez…
2) When picking mushrooms in the forest, wouldn’t you go with the buddy-system and also a working walkie-talkie?
3) Did no one trying to escape Atlanta pre-apocolypse notice the entirely empty 1/2 of the freeway? Using both sides is common policy in pretty much every city’s emergency evacuation plan.
Probably just me…
Read the comic. It explains it all. Plus, zombies aren’t real so the writer can put their own spin on the way zombies can infect you. It’s not like you have proof that’s how they infect people anyway. Jeez. It’s all made up. Who cares… The show is awesome.
I love that the writer of this article warned about the goriness of the photo, but as it shows up on my screen, there’s no way to read that warning without seeing the photo which is DIRECTLY BENEATH IT.
I was cracking up ! I loved everyones, Ohh, when he hit the body with the axe. GREAT TV> ! more guts, more laughts
Just looking forward to “The Governor.” If all of the other characters are right on, this guy will be worth the wait.
(Side Note) I used to have a crazy neighbor named Luanne with all these crazy inbred dogs. Must be the name.
The gore is fine but what makes me want to change the channel is that his wife didnt find him and didnt wait too long before shaking up with his former best friend. thats the only part of this show that makes me feel like puking. i was just hoping this show to be a cute above. i was wrong. but i am still a zombie fan
im with Z , his wife is kinda fast , gettin it from behind . this TV series really rocks !
i cant wait to chapter 3
this is one of the best survival horror i ever seen , hope it last many seassons.
To the mother of the children who is letting them watch the show, just don’t let them! My gosh, more common sense who is the boss in your house? I like the show, and enjoy it. I am a mom too but I do not let my children watching it. I am happy to know that there would be a longer season. BRAINS!!
