Hi Everyone….I’ve missed you so!
Hidden Gems:
1. Lacey’s ponytail hit Kyle in the eye during the first part of their rehearsal footage. Very subtle….so funny
2. Brandy telling Bristol that they were on camera and to smile, I think it was while Kyle was getting his music. The hidden gem was going to be Bristol looking super unhappy in the background and then Brandy leaning over and touched her cheeks making a smile and smile and then Bristol smiled.
3. The guy to Tom’s right after Kurt got his music was so not paying attention and didn’t realized that he was on camera….he could believe that Kurt and Anna didn’t no the song Hella Good:)
4. The lights at the beginning of Brandy and Maks’ first dance looked like a teepee from above. Or a light fort…which I now want to build for myself.
5. After Brandy and Maks got their music they cut to Tom and the two girls on the end of the row were leaning over super far so they’d be in frame. HOWEVER while the one on the end was smiling…the one next to her A) looked like Blossum and B) had the weirdest DUH look on her face. Very Skeet Ulrich. I thought, “Girl, if you are going to make an effort to lean into camera….why would you make that face.” It was like she was trying to be a Hidden Gem.
Wow – just reread my gems and I was obviously very excited because I even understand some of them.
2. The gem WAS going to be Bristol looking unhappy in the background UNTIL Brandy leaned over and formed her cheeks into a smile….then a second went by while this computed…and then Bristol looked at the camera and smiled.
3. The guy to Tom’s right could NOT believe that Kurt and Anna had never heard the song Hella Good and told his entire party about it while Tom was talking to the camera.
Good job, me.
Todd Palin giving Kyle a standing ‘o’ but not his own daughter….
there are so many, where to begin? Derek’s “Jenougher” shirt, Jerry Rice putting together mirror balls, and when Maks walked towards Brandy in those white pants during their first routine I swear I saw the shadow of a man thong!!
So I love Jennifer and Derek, HOWEVER, you must be careful about giving yourself a nickname with the word “enough” in it. It may not end well for you.
Hidden Gem: Ok, not so hidden, but loved it just the same – in rehearsal Jen says “ooh this is so 7th grade.” and then Derek did another sexy move and she says “ok, maybe 8th grade!” and he looked right at the camera with such a sexy smile!!
Kyle adjusting himself when backstage with Brooke to get his scores after the instant dance. It was a two-handed adjustment!
Carrie Ann’s not so hidden gem – her bling knuckles. Watch out Bruno or Len if she starts throwing punches with that thing on!
Did anyone see Lacey’s face when Maks was going off on Carrie Ann? She did NOT approve.
The TLC logo on Todd Palin’s sleeve during Bristol’s rehearsal footage. Just a helpful reminder that daddy will be a TV star too.
for a hidden gem during Kyle’s and Lacey’s dance the lighting made it look like there were sequins on the floor.
Oops, missed the deadline. My gem was Anna repeatedly whipping her hair into Curt’s face during the “instant dance” rehearsal tape footage. And, as always, any view of Maks’ butt is always gemtastic!
I must add, I loooooooved Jerry Rice putting together mirrorballs — too funny. Now we can just go to the craft store and each make one for ourselves. Come on, you know you want to…

is Sarah Palin paying dwts to keep her daughter on the show??? Kurt Warner is a much better dancer than Bristol ANYDAY.
