1. ”There may be a cash giveaway. And I repeat may.”
2. “Late in the first show, I’m choosing a second wife — someone who’s independently very wealthy, so if I go through this kind of bulls— again, I’m really well taken care of. I mean, I’m talking about someone with hundreds of millions of dollars, because then I’ll really walk the walk.”
3. “You’ll get to see whether I kept the beard or not. And I don’t think I’m self-centered, but I think it’s more important to America than this election.”
4. “Reuniting Led Zeppelin is a goal of mine. I didn’t say it was going to happen. We’re either going to reunite Led Zeppelin, or a Led Zeppelin tribute band that hasn’t worked together in six years.”
5. “You’re going to see me slowly resent Andy less over the course of the first year on the air. Because you know it was him that f—ed up. I was doing fine before he came back to reunite the magic. I think people will love to watch a guy slowly start to forgive somebody over the course of 150 shows.”

I’ll watch tonight for sure. I’m sure he’ll start off gang busters and be number 1 for a few weeks. Then his slacker fans will stop watching and he’ll fall to about fifth, behind Jay, Dave, Stewart and Colbert. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jimmy (take your pick) and Craig end up ahead of him.
Excited to see Coco, but wish it wasn’t on TBS. Yuck.

There’s one thing I have to disagree with. Andy had nothing to do with messing things up. It was NBC not wanting to hear Baby Leno crying that he wanted his toy back. If anything, it was NBC and Leno who screwed it all up for Conan, not wanting to give his Tonight Show the time they gave Leno when he took over for Carson.
I don’t care if he kept the beard or not, but I am just glad to have his snark back on the air untethered by network TV. We’re all Loco for CoCo!

What original programming? Since My Boys is canceled, the only things left are Conan and that Tyler Perry crap… and I wouldn’t refer to that as “original”

It’s all fine and dandy now, but watch, in a few months, everyone will be turning against Conan. The viewers will realize how arrogant he is and tune out. Conan was very good when NBC was coaching him. When he went on the Tonight Show, he felt he didn’t have to listen to anyone, and his show failed. Conan on TBS will be a disaster. Mark my words.
I give him 6 months tops before TBS pulls the plug. The Daily Show will wreck him in the ratings.

Nah.. He was signed for a multi year multi million dollar contract. He isn’t going anywhere.
And it’s TBS, he doesn’t have to be #1 to be successful there, all he has to do it better than George Lopez did. He could do that just interviewing Andy for an hour every night.
If George Lopez was able to make it a year, then I’m sure Conan will be fine.
agreed. George Lopez is a nice guy and all and I liked his sitcom when it was on… but his late night show just isn’t good.
