Oh God. Marie Claire has produced this heinous damage-control (?!) video about Project Runway‘s season 8 winner, Wretchin’ Gretchen Jones. A moment ago I couldn’t decide if I should protect you, fellow Season 8 Support Group members, or fulfill my inherent duty as a blogger to post one of the most obnoxious clips I’ve ever seen. Well, I got over it! Who says Halloween is over? Kick off your weekend right with this complete horror show….

Wretchin’s acting is as bland as her color aesthetic. If she wasn’t such a witch on the show I might feel sorry for her for being pushed into doing this lame garbage. But then I remember her oatmeal granny panties and her meanness. reap what you sew!

The time to hate on Gretchen is past. Get over it. The clip was funny and I was happy to see her make fun of herself. She won 100k, do you know how little that is after taxes?? It is a tv show. Hating on her? SO lame. I loved Mondo and wanted him to win. But I don’t hate Gretchen. And I am not a huge fan of her style but love that she uses sustainable fabrics. It was a quirky video. The EW write I hope, wrote the above BS for effect – and most of you fell into it.

Very sad. There was a very big miscalculation done here. In previous seasons someone may have wished someone else won besides the winner, but they didn’t out and out hate the winner. The editors created Gretchen the easily hateable and then the judges/producers named her the winner, without any redemption in between. Remember, this is all a scripted story for the producers, there is no reality in reality television. Try and get a grip LOL.

Hell yeah, the Kenmore has FAR better design and styling than Gretchen. Although, in fairness, I do think Gretchen does have it beat in the ability to exude coldness.

I think it is also an insult to us and the outrage we feel over that bizarre Season 8. From start to finish, it was one long trip on the ewwwwww train. When I think of it, I grimace.

Yeah, this was incredibly obnoxious. Although…I actually feel a little bad for Gretchen in this. It seems to have been a Marie Claire idea or something – it’s totally damage control. So I can’t imagine Gretchen came up with doing this, but she played along and gave it her best. As with her designs on the show, I thought her “best” was pretty painfully unpleasant, but I feel like I can’t hold this one against Gretchen. She’s now in the hands of a PR machine that needs to make Project Runway viewers less PO’d about the whole situation, so I feel like I should blame Marie Claire or Lifetime or someone else for this godawful video.
I would say Marie Claire put her up to it but Gretchen is all over that. She was always trying to do unfunny sound bites and little visuals (spreading herself out on the runway at fashion week)…and the video is all ME-ME-ME! Something she must have loved. Fail!
Gosh, you sound just like Gretchen. She NEVER thinks anything is her fault. She has not taken responsibility for one bad thing, that occurred because of her. Even when she had her meltdown on the runway, E13, she blamed on being “sick of the challenges.”
I heard an interview with someone working for an Oregon publication or website, and she is absolutely certifiably looney.

That’s what Marie Claire wants you to think. They think if they try to make fun of how Gretchen was shown on PR, she and Nina Garcia wouldn’t be in the PR fans’ doghouse right now. Don’t fall for it. Gretchen had no problem being her awful self on the show and no amount of produced ads will change that. Gretchen shouldn’t have won and PR really needs new judges.
