Image Credit: Jerry WolfeIn case you like waking up really early on Sunday mornings and were looking for something to do that involves vampires instead of football, this news is for you: Chiller announced via press release that they will be running a 24-hour marathon of the first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer this Sunday, starting at the bright hour of 6 a.m. EST. Remember, vampires never sleep, so 6 a.m. is fine for them, but for us mortals, be sure to set your DVR to catch this marathon of amazingness. (Public Service Announcement: On Sunday the clocks fall back, so change your clock and enjoy the extra hour that may make an early morning Buffy marathon a bit more enjoyable.)
The marathon kicks off Buffy‘s daily run on Chiller — which begins Monday — and yes, the series will run in order, which is great for newbies and Buffy enthusiasts alike. I, for one, have been catching episodes of Buffy on LOGO, but I’d also really enjoy starting from the very beginning, if only to remind myself why the series was the most memorable show of my teenage years.
As excited as I am to see the first season and laugh at the ’90s fashion, the episode I’m most excited to see is “Angel,” because it’s the episode that got me hooked on Buffy in the first place. The first epic kiss! The star-crossed lovers! A vampire falling in love with a vampire slayer! Which episode of Buffy are you most excited to see, PopWatchers?

I have The Chosen Collection, so I always pick and choose my favorite episodes. I would most look forward to Graduation 1 & 2, though.
Ugh, I’m and idiot. I didn’t see the season 1 part…I guess Angel would be my favorite season 1 episode, too. Are they going to show season 1 twice? Because there are only 12 episodes in the season.
I’ve got the dvds and still watch ‘em around twice a year.(watching season 4 of Angel now). I know I’ll be reviled for this but The Puppet Show is a season 1 favorite. the backlit shot of Snyder’s ears is great. Never Kill a Boy On the First Date is up there, too. “If the apocalypse comes, beep me!” watch as Alyson Hannigan unintentionally smiles when the vamp sits up and says “I have been judged!”. probably the best show ever made.
Every summer I start watching Buffy from start to finish, Season 1 through Season 7. My favorites from Season 1 are still The Pack, The Harvest, and Prophecy Girl.
I love The Puppet Show, particularly the bizarre coda.
Love them all, but I always enjoy the premiere to see where it all began. Plus it’s fun to see Eric Balfour, tv’s very own kryptonite, bite it before he had a chance to doom one of the best shows on television.
I always catch Buffy on Logo too, but what channel is Chiller?
I wouldn’t say Balfour is Kryptonite. He’s been doing fine on Haven. I quite enjoy him on that show.
Now I wish I had Chiller
Every season of Buffy AND Angel is on Instant Watch on Netflix… I can have my own marathon whenever I want.
Yes it is! I have been slowly working my way through the 5th season which was one of favorites once they got rid of Riley Finn.
Hey, I actually have Chiller. It’s been several years since I watched Buffy–I originally caught up with seasons 1-5 on FX.
I don’t have Chiller, but I have the complete series so I’ll just do my own marathon! But a very big “UGH.” on your “Angel” comment. I love Buffy and Angel seperately, but together? Good God I could barf all over those two. I had such a hard time getting through their scenes.
Agreed!!
Indeed. Definitely Team Spike. Angel’s just… boring.
I’ve been watching it on Logo for awhile but it’ll be awesome having it on 2 channels. I loves me some Buffy!!
Willow and Tara will always be one of all-time favorite tv couples.
Completely agree.
me too
I was always a Willow/Oz fan. I was so upset to see him leave her…
A-greed. They’re gorgeous. It was so sad when she died.
I love Buffy
the sixth season is the best season of buffy, and it contains the best episode of the series: SEEING RED
True. Plus Smashed. And every other Spike/Buffy episode
Well, I like S6 too, but “SEEING RED”?! You do remember what happened there, yes? The attempted rape?! Not a good thing!
Very cool. “Buffy” marathons are always fun.
SO happy about this! I don’t have LOGO BUT I do have Chiller! Definitely watching!
Definitely Teachers Pet as it began Xanders love affair with shall we say less than normal women, and Prophecy Girl cause it involves both (spoiler alert) Buffy’s first clash w/death and Xanders first time saving the world. Plus you’ve got Cordeila at her worst…or her best depending on how you look at it!
