The show will follow “ordinary” people, in teams of three, as they “solve problems while racing across deserts, over mountains and through rivers.” How totally unlike The Amazing Race!
Burnett described the show as “an epic Indiana Jones-style experience,” which I hope means there’s an emphasis on puzzle-solving and cryptology. Jehovah starts with an I in Latin! Or something along those lines. The Amazing Race has occasional puzzle-solving, but I’d love to watch a show that had more of an emphasis on reasoning skills, because I’m a huge nerd, and I like to feel represented on television.
Beyond that, making the teams threesomes means heightened drama: How can you side with her on this? Or, It’s two against one. We’re doing it this way. Aaah, I can hear the bickering already!
If a globe-trotting drama-filled adventure sounds up your alley, the show is casting right now. Go nuts, PopWatchers. Would you watch Expedition Impossible?
Teams of three? Emphasis on puzzle solving and cryptology? Sounds like that forgettable one “Treasure Hunters” from a couple of years ago.

Bring back the Eco Challenge Burnett!!
I agree – why copy Amazing Race when you had a great property (though underexposed) with Eco Challenge. It was great a while back and could be even better now….
Agreed! Eco-Challenge brought Adventure Racing to the mainstream. Now that the sport has progressed, bring back the ultimate showcase!
Then there was “The Pirate Master” that you had to watch the last few episodes on the net.
This sounds more like Treasure Hunters! I Think that’s what it was called. It was the nerdy show on NBC which I absolutely loved. It was fun watching them solve the puzzles, this show sounds a lot like that.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the average reality show contestant necessarily has the skills to handle cryptology. Remember the Chekhov debacle a couple seasons ago on TAR?
I’m wondering why reality show producers have resorted to copying each other….this idea has been done to death. Coming up with fresh reality show concepts shouldn’t be this hard, guys. This show is doomed.

funny how teams of “cops” will be competeing…seems to me a trio of my brilliant friends already thought of a show based on same thing…but it was turned down…..wonder why?
