I think Peter Jackson and New Zealand deserve this movie. It is about more that just the back drop of the movie. It is also about the personality and passion of the people of New Zealand. I believe with all my heart that a huge part of the success of the Lord of the Rings is wrapped up in who the people of New Zealand are. While it may be true that other countries could have made a great movie, It would not have been the same movie. I love these movies very much and I don’t want to mess with the formula. Heck, I live in Alaska and have said that a great Middle Earth could be represented here, but the element We don’t have are the New Zealand people. Viva New Zealand!!!
Hopefully this movie can be made. Hollywood needs good movies like Donald Trump needs a wig.
If the film is moved and all those actors lose potential jobs and the ability to participate in what may very well become one of two great movies of this decade Helen Kelly may very well find herself in a not very friendly nation…
Jackson doesn’t look well. It’s just not worth it if it destroys your health. Don’t be surprsied if Jackson throws up his hands and walks away from the whole project.
What a huge sob story for poor Peter Jackson. He could’ve been a man and done the right instead of screwing workers out of their wages and entitlements.
If it fails to happen it’s because Peter Jackson is greedy.
Greedy?! Those nobody actors are the greedy ones who will only ever be famous for their roles in the Hobbit movie. If they want acting careers they should go to the U.S. and appreciate the opportunity they have to be part of a what will be another amazing epic movie directed by Peter Jackson. His contribution to the arts in New Zealand make him a national treasure.

What is the labor dispute about. I ain’t siding with Hollywood just because they making a damn movie. The films make billions and the actors and crew should be recieveing top dollar. So how about more about the dispute with REAL information and less about speculation.

Glad you enjoyed the video. The Blair Witch part is relaly mostly just caused by me being unable to hold the camera still at hip height, resulting in some completely useless footage: so I did what any enterprising director would do: I sped it up to make it look more ridiculous. It worked well enough: made it look a hundred times more crazy than it actually was in reality we were just in a moving queue. But it’s all good fun.
