I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that it’s another one of Mater’s fantasies, not the plot of the whole movie!
Pixar’s record is not flawless. ‘Cars’ is their only flaw. Why make a sequel?
Cars made a fortune in merchandising, so it’s easy to see why Disney would urge them to make it.
Also, it’s John Lasseter’s dream project. We could guess he wants another chance to make a better movie.
Where is the incredibles 2!!
Actually, I’m still waiting for a sequel to “The Incredibles”. That would be great!
I LOVED Cars!!! 2nd best Pixar movie, after Finding Nemo!!!! I cannot wait for Cars 2!! Sadly the amazing Paul Newman cannot be in this one!!! RIP!!
I can’t believe all the comments on cars. My son loved it actually when he was 1 years old that is the only cartoon he would watch and still watches it! maybe all you haters no nothing about children cartoons since you’re boring adults! Car’s is a good cartoon for kids, not like all the others out there that are ment for adults. my son will be soooooooooooooooooooo happy for the sequel I can’t wait to tell him!
But that’s the point, it is a kids film. Compared to the Incredibles, Cars just feels a bit one-dimentional. It is cute, but it is not THE greatest Pixar film of all time.
Exactly. Every other Pixar movie was a kids movies that adults could go to and enjoy as well, sometimes possibly more. Cars just wasn’t that. Maybe if I was 8 I would have loved it. But I agree, it is the weakest of all of Pixar’s movies
Most of Pixar’s movies are not appropriate for young children, even though they want to see them too. I think it is great they are making another movie for the youngest movie watchers.
Agred. Why slam Pixar for making a kids movie for kids?
Sadly, this is all about money…”Cars” is currently Disney’s most profitable films in regards to merchandising (I mean, seriously, have you seen the rows of “Cars” toys in Wal-Mart or Toys-R-Us? And for a movie that came out that long ago? Crazy.)
Cars may have had its moments (Michael Keaton being the villain – where’s he been hiding?, the virtual re-creation of one of Richard Petty’s biggest crashes, Paul Newman’s final movie role)… but it’s not my favorite of the Pixar films. While I may give Cars 2 a whirl, let’s hope Pixar gets to making a sequel to The Incredibles soon.
This will be Pixar’s first major mistake. I didn’t like ‘Cars’ to begin with, but this is just sad… I pray this isn’t a sign of things to come from one of my favorite major movie studios. If Pixar makes a sequel to anything else, it needs to be ‘The Incredibles’! Everyone wants that one… I don’t know anyone who wants ‘Cars 2′.
Cars is okay. I can watch it when its on tv but its nothing like Toy Story, Up or Finding Nemo. It does 1d characters and the plot is simliar to a lot of movies which bothers me a bit. I also find that its about talking cars. I know its a cartoon but it seems less unrealistic to the others even the incredibles which does need a number two or maybe a franchise!!
I enjoyed the original Cars movie. I won’t prejudge this movie since Pixar has been able to turn in two terrific sequels in the Toy Story franchise. What I liked most about the original Cars movie was it invitation to slow down and enjoy life. Plus the racing aspect was fun too.
My 2 1/2 year old nephew LOVES Cars! It is one of the few movies that is not scary and truly appropriate for all ages. Looking forward to it!
I and my son loved Cars. I guess I need to see Doc Hollywood never really cared to until reading these posts. I think Cars had a great message, good story and funny characters and since my wife grew up on route 66 (parents still live right on it), it had a pretty cool connection. will see the second but still don’t expect it to be as good as the first.
Serously this just shows how closed-minded and ignorant you Cars haters are,you know what?Screw all of you who don’t like Cars…seriously…
