IA so hard – there is being sexy and then having it borderline soft-core porn. I like the actors in Glee and so I blame the people at GQ for making Cory, Lea and Dianna shoot a glorified American Apparel ad for Hustler. That spread was unnecessary (in more ways than one).

  • Zoey

Also, it was unnecessary to make Dianna look like a cute little schoolgirl and then make Lea do all the raunchy poses in her underwear, like blondes are saints and brunettes are tramps. Really, GQ? Really?

    • Alice

Yeah I didn’t really like that.

And of course now people are jumping on Lea for being such a slut and polishing Dianna’s halo.

      *massive eye roll*

      • Zoey

Me neither – both girls were probably directed to do their respective poses so you can’t necessarily blame them for the pictures. Also, Dianna had more clothes on in the shoot than Lea, and that’s the stylist’s fault.

      • Connie

That’s cuz Lea has been toppless onstage at Broadway and the last Marie Claire magazine, I think that she looks hot, funny and comfortable on the photoshoot, but Dianna doesn’t have the same half-naked experience, so she wears Rachel’s skirts.

It’s sexy. It was inevitable. These three are HOT twenty-somethings playing high school teenagers; they’re allowed to indulge in a playful, raunchy side once in a while. Why did no one slam the ‘Gossip Girl’ cast during their shoot for Rolling Stone a few months ago (with the ice cream cone cover, also shot by Terry)? Is it simply because ‘GG’ is a “sexy” show? Sex sells, people. I thought we all understood that by now. This is how a Terry Richardson shoot ALWAYS turns out, and I usually find the thick gloss, popping colors, and obviously outrageous props to be pure fun. I think everyone should relax a little – it’s a silly photo shoot for GQ. Let these incredibly hard-working and talented actors have sexed up fun while they still can.

    • AQS

P.S. Love the library shot, and the final picture in the classroom with paper everywhere. I think these photos are an absolute blast.

      • sally

        Oh sweetie, ‘extreme fantasy’? Really?
Terry Richardson? Big deal. He’s lame. I’m sick of this stuff, I’d be happier if they had asked Lea and Dianne to photograph each other with their i-phones. More fun. Girls in control. Terry Richardson is TIRED. Even if he is ubiquitous. Give me Ellen Von Unwerth.

It’s just kind of sad that Cory Monteith was in no way sexed up at all. He was just present while two girls danced around in bras and panties.

      • AQS

Eh. It’s GQ, so I’m not surprised at all. He’s the everyman, as an entry point into the extreme fantasy.

      • @Katja

It’s hard to “sex up” Cory – he’s not that hot to begin with.

      • kass

He’s hot in my TV. I think he looks adorable in the pics. I just love his happy face

    • Zoey

Isn’t Terry Richardson regularly brought to trial for sexual harassment and/or sexual abuse though? He’s known for exploiting his subjects.

  • LL

Poor Lea. Imagine getting to a photoshoot and they are handing out wardrobes. Your friend gets a skirt and somewhat of a shirt, then you are given a pair of panties, socks, and a lolly pop. I’d be like hey hey… where’s my skirt?

    • mcsquared

she didn’t looked too bugged about it. very disappointing.

    • Kira

It actually looked like she LOVED it. She has always seemed pretty vain and now that she’s borderline anorexic, it shows even more.

      • Vixela

Agree with Kira. It’s sad really how Lea got herself so thin.

  • Franxie

One of the things I loved about Season One of “Glee” was the relative squeaky-cleanliness, but they’re making up for lost time this season. The actors who play high school kids are in their mid-twenties, and want to keep up with other actors their age, but ICK — it just doesn’t feel right.

    • Carrie

“Push It” and all of the talk about Finn’s early arrival problem in “Showmance” looked squeaky clean on your TV/

      • Carrie

        ?

    • Becca

Yeah I definitely agree about this season being much more geared towards adults. There were a few things last season, like the “Push It” episode but for the most part it was edgy while still being a show for teens. I don’t know, this season it just feels like a completely different show, one that’s pretty awkward. Like the Britney Spears episode with the kid naked in Sue’s office? That whole part of it was just uncomfortable and weird to see.

  • Meredith

Agreed. I hate the pictures, and think the message they’re trying to send is sad. Ugh, indeed…

  • Rusty Shackleford

That’s funny, I ask myself the same question when I see 5 articles a day about Glee.

    • The Jackal

That last picture is going into the spank bank.

  • Steve

Well, at least we now know that Dianna and Lea have ink on them…

  • Pete

The girls look like wannabes trying to sex it up. Couple this with the fact that the guy is totally clothed and you’ve got perfect proof that sexism is alive and well in America. In fact, young girls seem to be embracing being treated as nothing but sex objects.

    • Muffy

When a girl does it, she’s a sex object, but when a guy does it, he’s just being a heartthrob. Got it.

    • Kisha

Truth!I see it everyday just going around town here where I live.Young ladies embrace this style.

    • Zoey

I know – for all the female pop stars that are big right now, women are still objectified as being worth for nothing but male pleasure. It’s sad and disheartening.

  • The Jackal

LOL at those calling the skanks are probably the same ones drooling when they have Taylor Lautner shirtless pics. Hypocrites

    • Taylor

      Taylor Lautner? Ick……..lol

    • Tube Top

      Yeah no kidding.
Just a bunch of immature, jealous, catty women here who are upset that Lea is no longer “fat” and looks good in skimpy clothing.

    • Zoey

      A) Isn’t Taylor underage? Also, ew.

      B) Lea does look great in clothes now, but she always has.

  • Kelly

And we wonder why there are so many sex crimes agains minors… these photos are a breading ground for predifiles

  • Hiker

So agree. It just seemed creepy. Now if the Jersey shore girls did this it would make more sense. Those women are in there 20′s and proud of owning their sexuality. Thse kids are playing characters that are what? 16 and 17 year olds? Are men so saturated with porn now that they need to be tittilated with this to get a charge? And why is GQ taking them there?

  • oneStarMAN

I SEE that this Article was written by a Women. i guess that explains why she did not respond to a Men’s Magizine as most readers would.

  • Amy

I think Dianna looks fine- she is mostly covered up- plus she is smiling. Lea seems to think she is the hottest woman on the planet and is way to sexed up. Clearly her ego is getting bigger than her talent.

    • Kira

I couldn’t agree more. Girl has too much ego and not enough class.

    • Nicole

      Well said.

  • dbd

Earth to Jennifer. They aren’t REAL high school students, they just play them on TV.

These actors are all adults, unlike Miley Cyrus who is still under 18. This shoot is pretty par for the course for GQ. And I would imagine the show’s producers had little to do with it.

Besides, it really just sounds like you’re pissed off that Corey’s fully clothed in all the pictures. Get over yourself.

    • Anna

      Thank you
