Image Credit: Everett CollectionThose of you still bummed that Anchorman 2 isn’t happening may be happy (or more bitter) to hear Justin Theroux saying that the Zoolander 2 script is coming along nicely. While at New York Comic Con, Theroux, who plans to direct the movie, told MTV News he and Ben Stiller are making “a few little tweaks” before they submit it to the studio, but he’s “very optimistic” it’ll get made. Theroux wants to keep the plot under wraps, but he did say that Zoolander and Hansel (Owen Wilson) are now approaching 40 and have to claw their way back into the fashion business. The current draft anticipates the return of Will Ferrell’s Mugatu and introduces a couple new villains — one of which was inspired by and written for Jonah Hill. I’m officially loving this.
Have a suggestion for making this sound even better? I’ll start with the obvious: Alexander Skarsgard, who had a small role as Meekus, one of Zoolander’s model friends who died in a “freak gasoline fight accident,” returns as Meekus’ twin brother and appears frequently shirtless. Anchorman 2 was going to be a musical
I’d never seen that deleted Scene and it got me all kinds of tingly for the sequel. Which is odd, because I hated Zoolander the first time I saw it, and now I love it.

Glad they’re bringing Mugatu back (my prescripton of crazy pills has is about to run out), and Hill could be ok too. (I find his comic stylings MUCH easier to take in small doses.)
The Skarsgard thing sounds like something they’d actually do given how much he’s blown up since then. Other than that, bring back Billy Zane for a cameo, and we’re good.
