My tears from last week’s flashback to Kurt and Burt’s tea party have finally dried, and tonight’s episode will reinstate some good old-fashioned competition amongst glee club members. Because is there anything better than seeing Rachel Berry freak out over potentially not getting all the solos?
In “Duets,” look for a cutesy Rachel and Finn on “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” (anybody else over these two as a couple?), Quinn and Sam (a future New Directions couple?) singing Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat’s “Lucky,” and a debut from the newest New Directions couple — Tina and Mike Chang — who will tackle the notoriously difficult “Sing,” from A Chorus Line. Plus, Santana and Mercedes finally join forces (what was taking them so long?) to become McKinley’s “Undisputed Top Bitches.” While two divas are always better than one, I’m most excited about Mike Chang singing with Tina. Yes, Mike “Other Asian” Chang, known for his mute ways and killer dance moves, finally gets a chance to be heard. Perhaps we’ll get some details about his background? What do we know about Mike Chang, anyway, except that he’s got great rhythm, great abs, and spends his summers working at Asian camp?

Is there a quota for how many Glee blogposts there needs to be per day or something? I’ve seen AT LEAST 3 today. I’m a Glee fan and all but seriously, this is getting a bit ridiculous.
Tina and Mike are singing “Sing” from “A Chorus Line”. “Smile” was from last season. Why do I know this stuff?
Tine and Mike’s was BY FAR the best! I absolutely loved it. It had charisma and vibrancy.
What was up with Brittany in this episode though!? Seriously messed up.
I’m actually pulling for Brittany and Artie. They actually seemed sweet together, and I hate Tina for deserting him. She’s dead to me, and Mike could do better. However, Brittany has such a sweet innocence to her, and how can you look at her rolling a meatball across a lonely table and not cry?
How about all the posts that cover Dancing with the Stars or the other ABC reality shows? It’s ridiculous how the press pays so much attention to non-scripted shows. At least Glee is inspiring and entertaining.
Glee is sometimes entertaining. They are becoming a bit of a one note show. Kurt and Burt are emotional, Rachel is the shrill harpy, MErcedes the token black girl with big voice. Nobody grows, nobody changes.
not true imo pan.the santana and britney parts ahve grown and even the britney character is growing a bit. they cant really make santana grow much more. her part is the b%^ch and the only way to make her bi%%hier is to have her go postal with a chain saw.

well emily i guess you slept through the episode ‘laryngitis” in season one where santana and mercedes same the boy is mine and we first got to see what a great ommercial pop voice naya rivera has there and i still say that of everyone on the show, she has the most marketable voice, she absolutely killed tonight yet again. lets see more santana mr murphy.

The character was completely nonsensical. And the actor playing him did not help. Groff came across as a preening, fey, vapid, narcissist, and he imbued those qualities on to a character that was already annoying enough on paper.
Please, let us hope that we have seen the last of Jonathan and Jesse !

i like the finn/rachel thing, it adds some stability to a very hectic show. what i am not crazy about is the changes to the rachel character this season. i suspect it may be the fruition of all the ego problems they are said to be having with lea michelle. murphy needs to sit that girl dowm and talk to her because its effecting the quality of the show imo.

I think the changes in her character are simply reflecting the day to day moods of a teenager, in particular one who is a self-described diva. I don’t think the role as written has anything to do necessarily with Lea Michele the actor. Last night, I thought Rachel and Finn were very cute together as they decided to throw their performance in favor of Sam, the new kid. And Rachel was very sweet to Kurt at the end when she told him she knew he was lonely but that he wasn’t alone and then sang a killer duet with him.
I think the show does a good job of showing most of the characters’ and positives and negatives. The show itself is not necessarily realistic but that fact that everyone does have faults is a good thing for it to show.

Dianna Agron is a lovely actress and singer, and I thought that her version of “Lucky” was GREAT!
I’ll never be over Finn & Rachel — they’re a great couple! I like to see them together in every episode. I really like their duet — Don’t Go Breaking My Heart sounds great. But the best duet is the one between Rachel & Kurt. I’ve downloaded it (and the Finn & Rachel duet) already and love it!
I still like them together, but I’m ready to see more of the other characters because they’ve gotten most of the storylines this season (well, them and Kurt). I know they’re leads, but the writers need to develop some of the other characters.

Rachel and Kurt were incredible tonight, and I really enjoyed Mercedes and Santana. But the highlight of the episode was most definitely Kurt singing “Le Jazz Hot” from Victor/Victoria…HE NAILED IT!!! OOOOOHHHH… best Glee song ever!
Loved Rachel and Finn (both numbers actually), but Rachel and Kurt made me cry it was so good.
Love Rachel and Finn. They’re the yin and yang of that show. They shouldn’t work, but do.
I love how they’ll call each other out, while showing respect and love for each other. I’m glad other characters are getting a chance to be fleshed out (especially Kurt and Brittany) but Rachel and Finn are in many ways the heart and soul of the show. The writers should let this couple flourish because they have incredible potential for more good storylines. One I want to see develop: what will Rachel do when she finds out Finn lost his virginity to Santana?

Ugh. God no. That pair (can we even call them that? They didn’t even like each other while they were dating each other) were the WORST. Lea Michele said they had their day. I, for one, couldn’t be more glad.
Can I ask why you don’t like them so much? I mean yeah they dated each other despite feelings for someone else but how do you explain Rachel cleaning up Puck after he got slushied or him choosing Glee over football?
