EW Exclusive: 'Robot Unicorn Attack' goes heavy metal

There’s a new Robot Unicorn Attack in town, and this time, it’s angry. RUA: Heavy Metal will debut for the iPhone later this month, and instead of RUA‘s ebullient Erasure track, it’s set to “Battlefield,” by Blind Guardian. Check out the exclusive trailer below:

I'm still pretty addicted to the game's first iteration, but the promise of lava-spewing demons is too much to resist.

Will you indulge your metal side, PopWatchers? Or is the cognitive dissonance of unicorns and hellbeasts too much for you?

Is it going to be online for free at adult swim, too? Either way, too awesome for words.

Oh man. I wish I had an iphone. I have spent an unfortunate amount of time playing the orginal version online. I hope they’ll put this new one online too.

I’m surprised they didn’t use “Thunderhorse” by Dethklok. But I agree with Immortaal; I don’t see anyone who’s purchased the original version buying this one just to get different graphics and music.

As someone who bought and spent too much time with the original, I’m getting this one too! Can’t wait!

I would buy it in a heartbeat if it was on more than just the stupid iPhone platform. >.<

I got it for my ipod as soon as it came out. I loved RUA already and the different song and background for $.43 was worth it. Finally an app i could use that last store credit on. The only thing that would make this cooler is if i was able to find the song so i could buy it. I also bought the erasure song too.
