At first mention, the casting seems sensible—sure, why not have Pacino play Spector? He’d be great, of course. But then, when you look at photos of the pair next to each other, it all comes together. Look at these two here! Isn’t the resemblance ridiculously uncanny? Pacino, of course, has a knack for bringing real-life people to life, as he did in two other HBO projects—Jack Kevorkian in this year’s You Don’t Know Jack and Roy Cohn in Angels in America. (Man, this guy likes HBO.) Of course, Pacino has been great in many things. But methinks this might just be the perfect pairing—if not only for the acting, but also for the follicular similarity. It should work, but Pacino has almost become a caricature of himself in recent years and tends to chew up the scenery. Fingers crossed.

Love the structure Brad, ayalws envious about the ease of which you create faultless structures,.. not only the rawcut king, the structure king too,..it was like one of those boomerang chucks where it starts out spinning low for a while then hooks way up into the air,.. I now can listen first hand too, from your recent advice about harmonies, I heard two voices, either side, sounded sweet, enough apart in tone, but not too much so that they gel, good technique. Now being the rawcut king, is a compliment but there is a slight bitey connotation to it, there has been many a lovely rawcut, but I beg you to finish one of them! perrrrlease!

It is great, but who is going to play Ronnie Spector?? They better show that relationship — that is the most interesting thing about his life, in addition to the Wall of Sound, in my opinion.
