Image Credit: David Gabber/PR Photos; Alexandra Wyman/Getty ImagesRachel Weisz and Emily Blunt are set to star as sisters in the latest project directed by indie wunderkind Lynn Shelton, according to Weisz’s reps. There’s not much else they’re revealing – no title, no plot – only the promise that the acting will be “semi-improvised,” and shot over a few weeks this coming fall. So let’s try our hand at guessing what it’s all about, shall we?
Shelton’s three previous films all feature two characters in intimate congress. In her January 2009 release, Humpday, a pair of old college buddies explore the implications of having sex with each other on tape to win an amateur porn competition. My Effortless Brilliance from 2008 features two dudes again, ex-best friends sorting out their differences in a remote cabin in Eastern Washington. And in Shelton’s first feature from 2005, We Go Way Back, a rising actress who’s nabbed a plum role is dogged by the specter of her younger self.
All good fodder for a sister flick. In considering the predecessors, here’s what I’ve come up with: Weisz’s character convinces Blunt’s to reshoot a childhood home video in a cabin in the woods. In the process, they come to understand why they love each other and themselves. And that they’re pretty.
So what about it PopWatchers: any better ideas?

I don’t care what they’re doing. It’s Rachel Weisz and Emily Blunt in a movie, so I’ll probably check it out. (Especially if it turns out to be a female remake of “Humpday.”)
I love these two actresses. Whatever it is, I’m watching it.
they are sick.
emily blunt<3
i'll watch anything she's in.
You had me at Emily Blunt.
Agreed about Blunt. She is SO overdue for an Oscar nod.
Weisz + Blunt = AWESOME.
Lynn who?
The two women sit in a kitchen drinking beer… the conversation begins with how they would survive a zombie apocalypse… and ends with an actual zombie apocalypse… the women are holed up in the house and must find a way to keep the zombie’s out… they slowly realize that they are too drunk to carry out their intricate plans and settle for suicide… the two women go into the basement where they play the drinking game two truths and a lie… the two truths are the worst things they’ve ever done in their lives… the lies are the things they wish they accomplished before the apocalypse… they learn everything about one another and end the film with a bang.
They actually look like sisters, too. I always thought it would be nice to see a sisters movie with Gillian Anderson, Julianne Moore and Laura Linney. That would be my dream cast.
What happened to her untitled
Terrence Malick movie in Oklahoma
She is suppose to start that movie.
Guess a lot is being said but not done..
