Jeff Probst blogs 'Survivor: Nicaragua': Episode 4

Jimmy T: (To Marty) “You preppy little bitch. You wouldn’t last a minute in my world.”

You knew it was only a matter of time. Jimmy T wasn’t ever long for this game. I wonder if he understands why he was voted out? Does he realize the reason he was voted out is because it’s very difficult to be around him?

Jimmy T: “And I’m easy to get along with… I think.”

Hmm. Maybe not. Jimmy T, I know you mean well, I really do. You have a great spirit, but dude, you are tough to get along with. You were tough for me and I wasn’t living with you.

Had you been a major force in challenges, it certainly would have made you easier to tolerate, but it wouldn’t change the fact that it’s your inability to just listen… to just be….that really got you trouble.

INSIGHT: In case you are not aware, Jimmy T entered a Sears contest in which people applied online to be on the show. He won the Sears contest, so clearly a lot of people voted for him to be on the show. We were delighted he won, he’s a fantastic character. He was open with his opinions, he gave colorful interviews, and the sound of his voice and his look were quite memorable.

But still, I couldn’t do it. I just wouldn’t be able to do it. I would have voted him out too. This is yet another reason why Survivor is so difficult. It tests you on every level and your truth always comes out.

Consider the dilemma that the older tribe is facing. They have a major obstacle in Dan. Dan is of no use in any challenge and doesn’t do much around camp. But Dan isn’t a pain in the ass to live with. Dan is a pretty easy going guy and if he’s in your alliance he’ll vote whatever way you tell him to vote. In the world of Survivor this makes Dan more valuable than Jimmy T.

I’m a terrible analogy maker, but it doesn’t stop me … it would be like desperately not wanting a dog but being told you had to have one. No matter what dog you get, you know you will have to feed them, walk them, bathe them, etc.. but there is one choice you can make that will make a difference – you can choose between a dog who barks all day and a dog that doesn’t bark at all. Dan doesn’t bark. Jimmy T never stops.

That’s why Jimmy T is gone. He barks too much. There are so many life lessons offered up every week on this show. I really do find that I learn things about myself year in year out.

This season has forced me to go inward and study my own ego more than any season in recent memory.

Shannon, Jimmy T, Marty and Naonka have really caused me to consider my own annoying ego-driven traits. I often find myself wondering what I would do given the same situation. Would I behave any differently? How would I come across to the audience? Am I one of those “chuckleheads” Jimmy T referred to in his speech about Jimmy Johnson?

For all my criticism, I’m pretty sure I would have made the same moves as the older tribe has made. So why am I so annoyed with them as I write this? Well for one reason, I have a cramp. Hamstring. Right leg. My buddy told me to drink two ounces of pickle juice to get rid of it, so I did. Cramps still there. Now I’m wondering if he was putting me on.

Jane is one of the bright spots on her tribe. She “gets it” on a very basic level. She doesn’t hoot and holler screaming for attention, but she is definitely playing the game.

Another person I think is playing a pretty quiet but solid game is Sash.

Before the game started, we met with everybody just to check in with them. I boldly told Sash he would be the first person from his tribe to be voted off. Clearly I was wrong, as Sash seems to be pretty solid for the moment. He’s playing a very good social game. He pops in, checks to make sure the vote is going the way he thinks it should go and then he is gone. Doesn’t make for the most interesting character, but he’s safe for the moment anyway.

Just when I think all hope is lost… a Survivor miracle happens! Naonka finds the idol. Ya gotta love it, right?

Much like Jill did with Marty, Brenda practically gave the idol to Naonka by telling her where to look. Much like Marty did with Jill, Naonka took the information, found the idol and has no intention of sharing it with anybody.

Did it strike anybody else as odd that Brenda didn’t even really look for it? She just let Naonka find it. Am I missing something? Is this strategy? Do Jill and Brenda both feel it is better to not have the idol? It’s an interesting idea from a strategy point of view.

It really doesn’t matter if Naonka has the idol or not. You could give her immunity all the way to the end of the game. Wouldn’t matter. Naonka doesn’t understand a fundamental element of the game. In order to win, others must vote for you. It seems so basic but clearly it has escaped her thought process.

Naonka, at this point, has ZERO chance of winning the game. I don’t think she realizes that simply getting to the end is not the goal. Can she change? Absolutely. Could she become a hero and be forgiven? Absolutely. Do I think it will happen? Hang on, let me check my lottery ticket to see if I have a winner.

Nobody is going to vote for Naonka to win the million dollars, which, in another beautiful Survivor twist, makes Naonka a great person to take to the end.

Occasionally Marty makes a good move. Nominating Tyrone to be in charge of challenges was brilliant. I loved it. It pissed Jimmy T off, which is what Marty intended and provoked Jimmy T into another outburst that led to his ouster. Marty is definitely a very good pot stirrer. My only criticism is that he still doesn’t see the forest for the trees. Like I said earlier, I’d probably have made the same moves he did, but for different reasons. That’s the key difference. The reasoning behind the decisions. But Marty could still win the game. He is very well spoken and if he makes it to the merge with any kind of an alliance he could do very well.

Well, I have to give the older tribe credit. They practiced at camp for hours trying to figure out a way to communicate with each other. But at the end of the day, the performance of the older tribe was pretty pathetic. They seemed to have a good system but when it came to game time, they just fell apart.

To be clear, when the younger tribe won, the older tribe was nowhere close to finishing. It was a disaster.

By the way – to Tyrone and anybody else reading this, there is no such thing as 110%. It doesn’t exist. You can’t give “110%.” 100%. That’s all you can give.

That was petty. Picking on Tyrone for saying 110% — it’s petty. He’s just trying to motivate his tribe. I get the intention. The truth is, sometimes I just don’t have that much to write about so I just start picking on people for no good reason. Like the way Dan sits down. It’s petty to pick on him for something he can’t help. Watching him kneel down like the Tin Man from The Wizard Of Oz is actually quite charming. The guy is out there giving it his all and here I sit in my cozy little house with the rain pouring down making fun of him. It’s petty. But I still do it.

So what would you have done if you were Brenda and Chase shared the clue for an idol that you knew Naonka already had? Would you play along and not tell Chase that the idol had already been found? Or do you tell him the truth like Brenda did? It’s a tough spot. Two alliances. It’s a big risk to not tell Chase, but now that Chase knows, the chances are that everybody will know. Brenda made a big move. One that I think I would have made as well.

Once again, for all my criticism of everybody, the truth is… thus far, they seem to be playing a very smart game.

Chase said it best…

CHASE: ‘You really can’t trust anybody in this game, but sometimes you have to.”

They tried their best to rewrite history and convince themselves that they were much closer than they were in the challenge. But the real story of tribal council was the life lesson offered to Jimmy T.

Tribal council went much longer than we were able to air last night. It went for at least an hour and a half. I kept it going because Jimmy T was being given a real big dose of honesty by his tribemates.

There was some hard truth delivered to Jimmy T. I’m not sure if he took it to heart or not, but it’s rare when you get a group of people to tell you the absolute truth about how you are perceived. This group did that for Jimmy. It was a gift. They gave him the truth. I hope it landed.

It wasn’t ever going to save him from the vote. Even though a couple of them were starting to turn, I think it was too late for the majority. They’d simply had enough.

Maybe that’s what Jimmy T will take from Survivor – the life lesson that sometimes perception is reality.

Truth is, we’ll miss Jimmy T. It’s easy to complain about his non-stop bragging and annoying habits but that’s what made him so much fun to watch. He’s the guy you love to hate.

I’m so glad I’m the host and not a contestant.

See ya next week.

near the bottom of this page, the comment by author moose contains spoilers of the boot order

      • allobidallo

Thanks, I shall stop reading now. Last season was ruined for me because I had accidentally stumbled upon a boot order from a comment. Thanks again.

      • jon

it’s amazing that EW doesn’t take it down

      • caryn

Thank you very much…. I’m going to stop reading now also. Allobidallo, same thing happened to me last season.

      • Nick

THANK YOU PROCEEDWITHCAUTION! I love you right now.

      • joecup

thank you so much! this comments section ruined both samoa and H vs V for me

      • jon

I went ahead and read it anyway since this season has been boring.

      • chad

thank you, I will not read anymore, Damn you MOOSE!

      • redriding

Oh man! thanx for the heads up. I really dont want to read or know any details. Can anyone who read it tell me if its super surprising? :-)

      • jon

        Actually, it kinda is

      • stacey

        THANK YOU!!

      • tennisfan

Appreciate it — I’ll skip the rest of the comments, too…
I really wish they hadn’t split older/younger tribes like they did this season — the younger tribe has always had the advantage in these challenges… Supposedly merge next week, but older tribe people will already be down in numbers, so we’ll see how that goes — all depends on how it gets mixed up. Maybe the season will pick up a bit.
Naonka’s comments are just horrid. Flashbacks of Russel’s horrid women comments. I really don’t like seeing/hearing that trash — hope she sees how ugly she comes across speaking like that.

      • Dr. Zechariah Zenith

Between Dan and Jimmy T., I would have chosen Dan too.

It is not like Jimmy T is a powerhouse in challenges. He is not as strong as he says he is.

Survivor has evolved from keeping the strong into keeping those who are loyal.

Just ask Boston Rob and Russell the Hustler. Paging Survivor Producers: We Want A Rematch between this two. When are we going to have Survivor: War of Kings and Queens.

Back to this season, young tribe seems to be complacent especially Naonka hopefully we see the tribal switch next week.

      • Hold On

Thanks indeed. Bummer because I usually like reading the comments. Way to go, moose, for p’ing on everyone’s parade. Jerk.

      • shelbar

Thanks, I will stop reading. I hope that comment is deleted. I like reading everyone’s thoughts but I guess I can’t now.

Thanks, I’ll stop here. I hate it when people spoil things and don’t understand why the site editors allow such posts. I’m sure we’d all prefer that it was deleted.

      • tarheel

THANK YOU. last year was ruined for me because i happened to read a comment. people like that totally piss me off.

      • memo

        Thank you……

      • Ashley

Thanks. I already had one thing ruined for me by the comments here. It’s absolutely ridiculous! Appreciate the warning.

      • Rhonda

Thank you! Because of you I won’t read further. Last season I saw a list of the boot order and it was correct and obviously ruined the season for me. I forgot about it until I saw your post just now. Thank you that was a very decent and kind thing to do!

      • KC

I’m glad they took it down, but what about the morons who refer to the spoilers in their comments? I don’t want to know if someone “supposedly” quits, etc. I like to hear other’s take on the show. grrr

      • Mon

      • Jerri

        Thanks for the heads up!

Why can’t EW take these things down? it ruins it for the rest of us.

It would be much better if can introduce a proper comment system. one where we have to register. it’ll cut down on anonymous flaming and trolling for one thing.

      • Haruka

Thank you, I’ve had to give up reading comments here in the past because of that but spotted yours at the top. :)

      • jimbo

thanks, I also was spoiled by the a#s last season

      • Lisa in Calgary

Thank You !! =) last season – which should have been riveting for me – was ruined in the first hour by a boot list.

I appreciate the head’s up hugely and sadly will not enjoy the comments in this post
        see y’all next week!

      • etm

thank you. moose is an a$$hole. thank you for telling us. I shall stop reading now too.

      • LoliRyder

        Thank you!

      • Quito Washington

        Agreed, thanks for that

    • Day39

I am shocked. What was voted as the dumbest move in survivor history? J.T. giving the idol away. And here it is a few months later and we have two immunity idols and BOTH of them have been given away. In the last two seasons the immunity idols have been absolutely critical game-changers and these players just give them away. America’s sweetheart, Russel Hantz, must be beside himself right now. We see Brenda walking on eggshells now that Naonka has the idol- that should have been hers! You can’t win a game of chess if you don’t know how the pieces move.

      • jon

It’s Brenda’s own fault. She didn’t have to tell NaOnka where it was. She could of sneaked off and got it own her own. And people can’t say it was strategy. NaOnka is too volatile and there is no good gameplan in her having the idol that I see of.

It goes the same with Jill. She didn’t have to give Marty the clue to gain his trust. She should of found it for herself and keep it stashed until she felt like she was going to be voted off. Marty is no Russell Hantz. He can’t make the idol work like Hantz did.

      • Changing Times

        Comment to Jeff,
I think Tribal Council where it is is not nearly as useful where it was. Have producers ever considered.. doing TC at the camp, then giving them a couple of hours to stew and talk than go to the fire ring for a final chat and vote?

      • Zach

I don’t know the boot order, but maybe Brenda and Jill both think the Immunity Idol is a curse. Better to cling to power (like Parvati and Natalie did with Russell) then be that power and be hated.

    • DwightBigSurvivorFan

Hey Jeff, I too feel like I learn a lot from the people/social inteaction melting pot of Survivor.

As far as the game goes as a longtime fan, here are the things that work: Tropical locations on the beach. A diversity of characters from all walks of life. Combined reward/immunity challenges.

Things that in my opinion don’t work: The final three: Final two is better. Locations that are not on the beach. Less than 4 contestants that are hot girls! Thanks for great show.

      • JBD

I don’t like combined reward and immunity challenges at all.

    • jon

      EW took down the spoilers

      • puppy dog

There was a spoiler last week too, and so far it has been right on.

      • GavinStrick

I want to know HOW are these spoilers getting out–down to last year’s winner no less? Why aren’t the Producers doing anything to keep these insiders from spilling the beans?

    • Sue

I think the reason I am hating this season so much is because they recruited way too hard for drama. I hope this isn’t how they plan on doing it in the future because like the other reality shows, I won’t watch.

      • Ashley

Agreed! I’d love to think that normal people could be casted, but they only cast people they think will make good TV (makes sense, but still disappointing).

    • Cindi Blume

What gets to me about Naonko is not that she tackled Kelly getting to the clue but that she threatened to throw her leg into the fire.
When you have a disability (& I do) you would like to have everyone treating you equally. So, if she was going to tackle people to get to clues, Kelly’s artificial leg should not exempt Kelly from such behavior. Whether Naonko should be engaging in the behavior may be up to debate but to single out Kelly as unable to defend herself is ablism at its most obvious.
However, Naonka’s threatening to throw Kelly’s artificial leg into the fire is the equivalent of threatening to cut off someone’s leg & that is real violence.

    • TheBestPlayer2NeverPlay

As I said in week 1 JIMMY T WILL NOT LAST LONG! HE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO PLAY THE GAME! I can say the same thing for most of the players as well. The players on the young and older team do not have a clue, with maybe a few exeptions. With regard to Jimmy T., he did win the so called “contest”. But the contest was supposed to take the ten best videos that were submitted online and then have people vote for the best one. There were a couple of thousand submissions, and I have seen them all! I will tell you that there is no way in hell those 10 that were chosen were the best. There was only one great submission (not Jimmy’s) the other 9 were crap or broke the rules. Jimmy’s video was crap! He played just as well as he did his video. I don’t understand what the judges were thinking and anyone else that has seen these videos knows what I am talking about. Word was going around that the whole proces was fixed. The people that were talking about it on the cbs chat room were all booted out including myself. All the messages were quickly deleted by cbs and I can never log on to CBS using my IP address. Why? Was CBS trying to cover up something? Yes I’m pissed off that I worked so hard (original and funny) on my video and it wasnt even considered as a top ten yet they took crap. I could master this game yet they took some1 that has no clue how to play! It was so obvious that he would be out within a few weeks that I mentioned it in week 1.

      • smith

your comments are horrible. Anyone can play armchair quarterback. I wish i could vote you out of the comments section hyou loser

  • shelby

If Jimmy T had’ve kept his mouth shut at tribal, he might have scored another week.
I agree with Marty being a good pot-stirrer, but not about him being able to win the game. Marty thinks he’s good, and he’s really just slightly better than the average. Which means he’ll get blindsided somewhere down the track.

  • Meryl

“Something must change”, Jeff’s closing words at the end of last nite’s show. I do believe that as one matures in life the chances of changing are slim and none. This holds true for the mature tribe, so, obviously, the game will change it up for them. It is really, really pitiful and painful to see the mature tribe falling and failing very fast each week. Does no one see the error of this decision? Survivor is one of the most physical games ever so why would anyone think that mature people, who have difficulty in just getting up, will have an icicles chance in hell to win??? And have the rules changed? Why is Dan out two games in a row? I thought the tribe had to alternate? This would have exposed Dan(maybe) so, it did work out okay with the annoying Jimmy T gone. I do believe I will hang in to see what happens after “the big change” takes place. Up to this point it has been so sad to see the mentally mature group fall so badly and I have NOT been entertained at all. As always, enjoyed your insight, Jeff.

    • Leeann

I think he’s able to sit out because they’re immunity/reward challenges. I think that rule comes into effect when they play two challenges per episode.

    • Nancy

You can’t sit the same person out in back-to-back challenges. Now that they aren’t having those, it’s okay to sit the same person out for each challenge.

    • SirvivrLvr

Why always combined challenges this season? Hope that change when they shuffle the tribes. More action…less talk please. So far a pretty boring season.

      • jon

maybe it’s because of those budget cuts we’ve heard about

      • Laurin

They always have combined challenges at the beginning of the season

      • Victor

Cutting down on the challenges means more time for what’s really important: Survivor.

      • teresa

I think they combined them to spare the older folks 2 challenges in a row.

      • dmarie

No they have not always had combined challenges at the beginning. That is a more recent development. No clue why they did it, and I’m still not sure whether I like it or not.

    • Tyson

hmm i think that jeff posted on this blog last season (or the one before; cant remember), the cant-sit-out-a-person-in-back-to-back-challenges rule only applies to within an episode. so if there’s a reward challenge and immunity challenge in one episode, a person cannot sit out for both of them. but if a person sits out on one episode, the next episode he/she can sit out too, provided his/her tribe is willing to let him.

      • puppy dog

dmarie. The very first challenge in Survivor (Borneo) WAS a combined challenge. Every season starts out with some combined challenges to give more time to film the interactions at camp.

  • Leeann

I don’t care how annoying Jimmy T was, I would have put up with him for three more days. Dan admitted that’s he’s sitting out anything that would “hurt the tribe”. That’s code for I’m not hurting myself for any of you fools!!! How does that help anybody besides Dan? If you all didn’t have these mixed reward/immunity challenges, this would be a moot issue because Dan would be forced to participate and his ineffectiveness would be front and center and difficult for the tribe to continue to ignore. Might not make much of a difference come next week with the shuffling of tribes, which I saw coming but still don’t like!

  • MikeP

“a Survivor miracle happens! Naonka finds the idol.” More like a Survivor frustration…sadly we’ll be watching her for alot longer i think, probably right til the end. I just wish Kelly B wouldn’t take her crap so much.

Chase so does not have a clue! Brenda under no pressure what so ever was trying to drop hint after hint that she found the idol with Naonka, but he kept on changing the subject. As much as a i hated Shannon for being a bigot, with him gone there’s not really a puppet master on the younger tribe anymore, so besides personality clashes things are a little boring over there.

I think you’re right in that Jimmy T would’ve taken the tribal council criticism to heart, it seems like he went out pretty modestly which is the first time we’ve ever seen any modest character in him.

    • Bibi

Naonka has already shown she’s willing to get physical. Kelly B is smart to let her just run her mouth and get more and more toxic. Nao doesn’t stand a chance of winning. Remember Russell. He was sure he’d win, and played a great game, but no one liked him. No like, no moolah.

  • redriding

Im starting to really like Marty! I mean the guy knows what he’s doing. He’s like an evil older version of Yul.

Jill and Brenda! Im with them. I get it. I love them too.

Noaonka is just awful. I cannot beleive she found the darn idol. Now she’s going to stay forever and ever and we have to tolerate her!

Im looking forward to the swapping tribes. Although Im scared the good ones will somehow be sent home sooner rather than later :-(
These twists sometimes mess it up.

Also Jeff, I dont understand why you hated on Marty and Naonka so much in the last blog. I mean you loved loved that RussHole so much adn he was plain evil as well so get off them for gods sake!

    • masterP

Oh yea. Im totally getting the YUL KWON vibe from Marty. Well spoken, similar background, idol king, totally running strategy in his team and generally on top of the game.

Only YUL did it with a smile and modesty :-)and Marty with a frown and an arrogance.

    • Real Jersey Jeff

RussHole is an Angel compared to Naonka. He had reasons for what he did, Naonka is just put off by a person be handicaped. I hope she doesn’t teach any special ed kids.

      • Trina

Well real jersey jeff. Naonka is just ignorant. I doubt she hates kelly B because of her handicap. Besides if she was so evil, Jeff adn the lot probably put her on there hoping she wld do stuff like this. Ratings remember?

Also Marty is fine. I mean he’s just playing the game. Jeff just got upset that his man crush Jimmy J got voted out when come to think of it, it was a brilliant move. So I dont actually see any reason to get upset with Marty at all.

Naonka maybe (giving the producers the benefit of the doubt) but definitely not Marty!

      • Jeevan

Oh pls dont give the producers the ‘benefit of the doubt’. They knew what they were casting when they interviewed Naonka. So yea Jeff shld just take it easy with the scolding he’s giving her.

Besides Jeff was so happy when Parvati voted out Ozzy n crew and when Russel voted out all those ppl he did! So what did Marty do that’s different. I mean he just voted out that millionarie Jimmy J. And great move on that since with tribes swapping I wld think the kids wld want to keep a celeb around. Marty wld be toast if Jimmy J was still arnd when the tribe swap happened. He knows what he’s doing people. Jeff just dosent like him. Dosent mean he’s not good. Yul was fantastic, one of the best the series has had and all Jeff cld do in the live show was play up Ozzy. He didnt like Yul and that was obvious.

Besides Jeff likes a lot of ppl that are ridiculous or mean spirited or just plain daft. eg. Russel,Ozzy,Chase, etc etc etc

      • I m a Twin

I agree. Jeff and other producers want wild, wacky “characters” — in other words, actors to play parts in the show. I also don’t agree with Jeff’s assessment of how the game should be played — he advocates keeping the “proven leader” in Jimmy J and then “cutting his throat later.” That strategy would never work because proven leaders, given a chance to stay in the show, will create solid alliances that make it impossible to get close enough to “slit their throat” (vote them out) later. Another mistake Jeff makes in his strategy speeches is always to keep the strongest physical players. That’s just silly. It’s your alliance that wins the game for you, even when you go into the merge with fewer members on your tribe. So, to vote out Jimmy T makes complete sense. Jimmy T is no friend of Marty and Dan is. Also, given Jimmy T’s strength he still performed poorly in the challenge. The dude won’t listen.

      • jon

Jeevan, that isn’t true. He loved Yul. He was just in awe of the guy. At the end, he didn’t like Ozzy. One of his favorite moments in tribal council was when Ozzy got blindsided in Micronesia.

      • Victor

RussTroll had reasons for what he did? Maybe, but they were without a doubt terrible ones.
Anyway, I don’t see Na as such a terrible person. I just see someone who is very insecure – and being on Survivor just elevates the paranoia and insecurity to a whole other level. And let’s not fool ourselves. Kelly B. really is an obvious sympathy vote getter should she make it that far.

  • henry

New theme song will be released on iTunes on October 10th. The real Nicaragua theme!

  • MCS

I cannot stand Naonka any longer she is just an awful human being. My tip is to watch out for Jill this season, I think she is a real dark horse. I reckon she will just blow everyone away with some amazing strategy. And where in the world is Kelly Purple? She totally got this year’s Brett edit.

    • Carnage

It’s too soon for a merge, from the preview I think they’re going to mix up the tribes.

      • Carnage

Oops, meast that as a reply to the post below.

    • Sexy Kelly =3

Isn’t having a Brett edit good? It means nobody will notice you and you will get far. And trust me, any horny guy with balls can tell that having Purple Kelly on TV gives you things to look at. Yummy :D

  • jack hart

hopefully, the merge will happen next weekend. the older tribe is just NOT physically able to compete. i wished brenda knock naonka out & took the idol with her (i’m pretty sure that they would have help hide the body of this south central psychopath). naonka is so clueless (LOL)

  • Michelle

Incredible, because they could not muster up a can of patience to deal with Jimmy T, they don’t vote out Dan, the weakest member. But yet, instigate a “perception is reality” talk and “life lessons” at tribal instead of telling his a$$ back at camp? Weak call Espada!

    • I m a Twin

Michelle, even though Jimmy T may be physically stronger, he still was no good in the challenge. Tyrone kept directing him and Jimmy T feigned he couldn’t hear Tyrone’s calls. Either that, or he was so angry that he wasn’t chosen as the caller that he couldn’t focus. Brute strength is overrated by many. Please notiece that as the weeks go by the challenges are increasingly mental and strategic. Think of the table air hockey challenges of the past, or the pull the string and release the coconuts, and even in this season, simply the ability to toss a ball a few feet and catch it, and simply the ability to LISTEN to Tyrone’s direction and move the way he tells you to moeve. I;m sure dan could have easily listened and picked up the stack of wooden bowls on the waist high table…just saying.

      • captain obvious

Odd thing was Dan chose to once again sit out this challenge (and increase the target on hisself)- the guy couldnt walk around blindfolded? yell at somebody? Please- he shouldve contributed atleast once. Ideally he shouldve been voted out instead of Jimmy J-strengthening the tribe, then Jimmy T after their next loss-he mustve drove them crazy at camp.

  • bob

Naonka gives South Central a bad name. Please vote her out next.

    • jerzeegirl

She has the damn Idol but if her tribemates convince her she’s safe & she doesn’t play it… she should be history.

      • Mikey

And completely blindsiding her like that, along with how she would undoubtedly react, could provide the most gratifying moment in the history of the series.

      • Shamrock

The young tribe would probably throw the next ammunity challenge if it weren’t for it being combined with reward. Then they would vote that Onka phsyco off. I know I would.

      • snowdogsurvivor

NAOINKER is so ignorant most likely she will walk the path of shame w/the idol in Fabio’s stolen sock. Too dumb to find it, (Brenda did that for her) Oink just dug the hole & claimed it and too dumb to use the Idol correctly if at all and BTW – I don’t buy a word of her delete scene – she is FOS.

    • NaOnka Bitch

      Don’t you people get it?

  • Mark

Thank you, Jeff, for mentioning my all-time biggest pet peeve: people who say they give “110 percent” (and no, it’s not petty. People need to be called on it). You gave the exact same effort as the person who gave 100 per cent. You’re just mathematically challenged.

    • Cheese

      I hate that too ae

    • Jiffy

      Ditto to Mark.

    • gizmodiansky

I completely agree. Try having your boss ask you to give 110%…I just wanted to smack her across the face 100% hard and then ask if she wanted another 10%.

  • Paul

Jeff, I can’t decide if you are trying to throw us off by suggesting that NaOnka will make it to the end or if you’re actually giving away the ending of this season. Marty and NaOnka?

    • jay

oh good lord.. that would be such a disaster if naonka and marty would be the finalists.. i would vote marty.. naonka would get my wooden leg in her face..

    • survivor fan

Are you an idiot? Don’t post spoilers! There are people who don’t want to know!

  • Diana

This video clip says Jimmy T is 48 years old ???? That HAS to be a typo!!

    • jon

      Haha…he looks like 58.

      • SKAT

No, he looks like 68. He must have had a hard life.

    • D

Being out on the sea ages you.

  • Mike L

Kelly B versus Naonka in the final. That would be a great show down. Good versus evil!!!! The result would be a forgone conclusion though.

Contestants should realize a couple of things going in. 1. Don’t be the best / leader. 2. Don’t be the worst / weakest and 3. SHUTUP already!!!!

    • masterP

yea hun you should learn those three things as well!

      • marc-ly

Thank you cheese. And althoug Na’s comments are over the top, pushing a competitor in a competition is part of the game. Amanda should have done the same last season and she may have won. But Amanda wussed out and didn’t want to get to rough. She quit mentally at that point. Na needs to take a step back from herself, but Kelly B signed up to play, so play and quit looking so damn weak and shocked.

    • Cheese

Fun fact: KB is not instantly a good person just because she has an aritficial leg.

      • I m a Twin

Nope. The artificial leg doesn’t make her nice. What makes her nice (and gives her a real chance to win) is her maturity. How many trucks and barracades would it have taken to hold another human being back after being verbally assualted by the pitifully pathetic and incorrigible Naonka? Naonka WANTED to fight. She was provoking Kelly B and Kelly B sucked it up. She showed real maturity. That maturity comes from a life of practicing being patient and kind. I’ll bet Naonka has never ever bitten her tongue. I bet Naonka never let a thought enter her head without it flying out of her mouth. I pity the children, parents and teachers and administrators at the school where Naonka works.

      • marc-ly

        Im a twin…
she didn’t show maturity, she showed fear. Kelly B has to man up. And have we forgotten that she decided to side with the biggot Shannon? I KNOW Kelly B knew what kind of person dude was and still, she choose to stay with him and vote with him EVEN AFTER he went on his homosexual tirade. THAT makes Kelly B. not a good person and a poor judge of character. And just plain weak and not willing to do what is right. Stop annointing her because she is imapaired people.

      • jon

Kelly B did suggest to Shannon to go after Brenda. Bad choice in the end…

      • Jennifer

Kelly B. voted for Shannon. Just sayin.

      • Mike L

I have to agree with “Im a Twin”. Kelly showed great control tonight. Anyone can jump in and kick and scream at Nay but She didn’t. I respect her more for that. “Cheese” she may not infact be a good person but in the edit of the show she is the good versus the bad and thats how they are both being portrayed.

    • I m a Twin

Mike L — your list is very accurate I believe and I would like to add one more — be helpful around camp.

      • Mike L

Yes agreed and if I was going in I would definately learn 20 different ways to make fire!!
