'Bones' meets 'Jersey Shore' tonight. Does any single individual actually watch both shows?

Bones-Jersey-ShoreImage Credit: Brian Bowen Smith/Fox; MTVTonight’s episode of Bones promises to be the series’ most smush-tacular, tan-tastic, GTL-licious hour ever, because the skeleton-loving investigators of the Jeffersonian are solving a Jersey Shore-themed case. Since Jersey Shore itself will also air tonight, we got to thinking: Is there any overlapping viewership between these two utterly different shows? (Besides the unfortunate soul who recaps them both?) Praise Science! After long weeks of hard work, the PopWatch laboratory (led by the fearless Dr. Annie Q. Barrett) has finally come up with a helpful infographic to sum up our findings…

PopWatchers, will you watch the Jersey Shore episode of Bones, or the Jersey Shore episode of Jersey Shore? Am I the only Tommy Westphall fanatic who’s really sad The Situation won’t be on Bones?

Darren and Annie are officially my two favorite people.

I have never seen an episode of Jersey Shore and I hope I never have to. That is why I am scared about tonights episode. I have a feeling it is either going to be hilarious with Bones trying to be cool with the jersey people, or it is going to be terrible because their will be these idiots from jersey shore on the show!

I do watch both shows…but I DVR Jersey Shore so I can fast forward when I just can’t take it! Looking forward to tonight’s episode of Bones. Our site does recaps of Bones and Supernatural if anybody wants to stop by and chat about them at Mile High Horrors. com

I watch both shows people are such snobs.

    • shinobi

WORD! and i know who tommy westphall is…

      • Ditto

I watch both, I know who Tommy Westphal is AND I know who Tommy Lynley is, too.

    • Katie

I watch both of them too! I used to be one of those snobs that wouldn’t watch JS if you had paid me, but I saw some of it and was hooked. JS is like a train wreck that I can’t help but watch.

      • Elysia

Exactly! No other show makes me laugh out loud so much. :-P

Don’t watch “Bones”, but I DO watch “Jersey Shore” and get a little annoyed with the “People who watch JS have no brain/are the devil/are everything that’s wrong with this world.”

I have a brain. I just turn it off and plug it to the wall so it can recharge while I’m watching “Jersey Shore.”

      • Erik

Well said. Once JS ends its run, another show will move in and get the same “what’s wrong with people?” comments. The world goes on with or without the show, so why get so worked up over this particular show?

  • tina

I’m gonna watch Bones. I love that show.

  • Michael

I watch both Bones and JS..JS is for the kicks and giggles… I laugh and make comments with my friends. Bones is fun and interesting.

You summed it up. I love to be entertained and to laugh while doing so. I watch both shows for these reasons.

    • Elizabeth

      me three

  • Pan

This Ven diagram made me laugh. “People who watch bones, people who know what bones are, people who watch Jersey shore” CRACKED ME UP! I watch Bones but not Jersey Shore. So at least I’m in the portion that A.) watch Bones and B.) Know what bones are.

    • Billy

Pan A) is a subset of B) therefore since you watch bone we know you know what bones are. You watch Bones, therefore you know what bones are. Simple.

  • ellen

Ha! For the most part, the findings are true. Most people who watch Bones have at least seen an episode of Jersey Shore. Since Jersey Shore is popular and in our faces a lot, Bones fans will still laugh

  • Whit

I couldn’t agree more. I love Bones, but would never stoop so low as to watch Jersey Shore for any reason. Does that make me a snob? You bet, and proud to be one.

    • pede

Right there with you. The 10 minutes or so we have to put with The Situation (and don’t even get me started on what might be the stupidest name ever) on DWTS is more than enough for me. But what can you expect from a generation who grew up with Jerry Springer-type shows as a template for entertainment?

      • cjinsd

        Ditto, pede!

  • Ed

Never, ever seen Jersey Shore. Never, ever, ever will. “Bones” — I watch it sometimes, sometimes I don’t. Tonight I don’t.

    • Doug

Who are you, Tony Soprano? Write like a normal human.

  • grace

i watch both. bones because i like it, jersey shore because sometimes my brain needs to relax.

  • Michelle

I watch both and can’t wait to see tonight’s episode! Also, I read that there won’t be a Christmas episode. Stupid baseball!

  • JR

I LOVE Bones, and although I haven’t caught an episode of Jersey Shore in a while, I still count myself in the “watches both” minority. CAN’T WAIT!

  • zandramarie

I watch bone everyday and I love the show. I don’t watch Jersey Shore

  • Melody

I only watch Bones, I don’t enjoy “anthropological documentaries” like Brennan.
