When you think Lisa Rinna, you may think Dancing With the Stars, Melrose Place or Days of Our Lives. But more than likely, when you hear the star’s name, you think lips. Thanks to a recent procedure, however, Rinna’s signature plumped-up pout, courtesy of a 1986 lip injection, is a thing of silicon past.
The actress and new star of TV Land’s Harry Loves Lisa, went under the knife in August, People reports, to reduce the size of her famously large upper lip after years of ridicule. The actress said: “I took a big hit for being honest. It gave everyone online permission to lambaste me. It hurt my feelings.”
Rinna, who’ll have to wait six months for a full recovery, also acknowledged that she didn’t want her lips to define her anymore. But much like game-changing surgeries of the past (think Jennifer Grey’s rhinoplasty), will she be the same Lisa Rinna to you? Jennifer Grey. Plastic surgery should enhance, not morph you into a totally different looking person.
What’s funny is, I think the only thing she had done was her nose. And it turned out far more changed than even she expected. But watching her laugh on DWTS, you can seen that that wonderful wide smile she has when she laughs is still exactly the same as when she was in Dirty Dancing (remember when John his running his hand down her side and she giggles? THAT smile.)
i think that for game changing plastic surgery. alexis arquette wins any prize. you cant change your game more than that. 2nd would be joan rivers.

Wasn’t Lisa Rinna’s original surgery a face-changer in itself? She looked muh more normal prior to those weird lip injections.
And obviously Mickey Rourke’s face was a game changer. Although, he has certainly made quite the comeback.
Has Sandra Bullock had stuff done? Her face is looking stranger and stranger all the time, esp the nose…

Another plastic surgery addict is Lil’ Kim! Her surgery changed her face completely. She looks scary now.
So true! My aunt really wasn’t familiar with Lil Kim was until she appeared on DWTS so I showed her an old/pre-surgery picture of Lil Kim and she was stunned. My aunt could not believe that was the same person.
It’s such a shame, too, because she was GORGEOUS before all that bizarre Barbie-fication was done to her. But hopefully Lil Kim is happy with her new look, and I guess that’s the important thing.
Melanie Griffith looks like a completely different person. Cyn would be so disappointed.

I don’t know if he has been discussed, but I’ve always thought that Mark McGrath looked as if he had a lot of work done — capped teeth, nose job, cheekbone implants.

patti TOTALLY agree with Faye Dunaway…this woman was absolutely stunning at one time, now barely recognizable and alien. I really think she would have aged beautifully.
Her lips are still double the size of anyone elses, so I hardly think this reduction will change a single thing. Kenny Rogers, who now looks like a bird…eeek, Joan Rivers, who can no longer wink her eye…yipes, Taylor Dayne who used to be sexy hot…oh man. Micky Rourke and Axil Rose…gross!
