'Who's the Boss' star Danny Pintauro is now a Tupperware salesman

Yes, little Jonathan Bower from Who’s the Boss is now selling wonderful little air-tight items on his personal Tupperware site. My fave — and the one I think Judith Light would appreciate the most — is the “Fashion Lunch Set” which comes in the always classic color combo of “Gumdrop/Snow White.”

The site is a veritable treasure chest of info about Pintauro’s current life: He lives with three dogs (despite starring in 1983’s terrifying canine horror flick Cujo), his friends sometimes call him “Martha,” and he’s fond of bringing dip to parties. Oddly no mention of his stint on a classic ’80’s sitcom.

Would you buy Tupperware from Pintauro, PopWatchers? If not him, from which Boss alum WOULD you purchase some plastic containers? Very important questions.

this makes me sad. things must be going really bad for him.

    • MiaRW

Why? Because he is doing a job that thousands of other people do? Because he is no longer working in Hollywood?

I would think if things were going bad for him he would be arrested for drugs, murder, etc., not just trying to make an honest living.

    • P

It may not be as glamorous as being on a tv show, but there’s nothing to ashamed of by doing honest work to earn a living. At least he’s not trying to defraud the government aid to get by or committing crimes… Good for him

      • Plato

Exactly. Just because someone is an actor as a kid doesn’t mean he wants to be one for the rest of his life.

    • J

dude, tupperware parties are actually fun.

  • Lily

I’d only trust Tony… I mean, after all, he was the manny…

  • reb

Ugh! Comic Sans? He wouldn’t get my business just because of poor font choice!

    • kaf

Agreed!! That font is for first grade teachers.

  • Chris

The only thing I found odd about this article is that his friends call him Martha. Other than that I’d buy tupperware from his site. Then again I could easily just buy tupperware at the store and it would probably be much cheaper there.

    • Stacie

I’ve read about men who sell tupperware creating alter-egos for themselves during the big sale. A few go drag even.

      • nodnarb

The top Tupperware salesperson in the nation is a drag queen.

    • Flyer

His bio says his friends call him Martha when he plans parties. They’re complimenting him by saying he puts on parties like Martha Stewart does.

  • Rica

What a snarky little article. Are you working the same job you had when you were a teenager? We all move on. Let him, and let him alone.

    • Chris

I agree. The point of this article was clearly to get a laugh from the readers at the expense of someone who doesn’t deserve it. Hopefully this article will at least draw some attention to his site even though that wasn’t the intention.

      • P

I also agree… this kind of “reporting” is what I expect to see from E!, not EW…..

    • dharma swan

Thank you I thought the exact same thing and totally agree with you. The article has such a snotty tone to it – maybe someday the author will find himself in a similar situation, trying to make ends meet then he’ll learn what karma really is. No need to pick on this guy and make snotty comments. He’s trying to make a living. Let him be.

      • RG

I agree as well. Perhaps this author has been taking lessons from that bully at Food Network “Humor”, Jillian Madison.

      • CoolWhipLite

I agree completely. He has probably taken enough knocks in his life. I do enjoy a good gossip article…but this one is just trying to make fun of a guy who has a job he seems to enjoy. His royalty checks are still coming in, so he gets to have the freedom to have a job with Tupperware. Kudos to him.

Agreed. What a mean-spirited snipe. I guess EW has given up on high-level entertainment reporting and is trying to compete with the Perez Hiltons of the world. Congratulations, Tim Stack. You win. You’re an ass.

  • Diana

He’s obviously doing better than Lindsay Lohan.

    • BJ

      Excellent point!

  • Aaron

You all should be ashamed of yourselves for running this story. It’s mean spirited, dispicable and absolutely pointless. I hope there is such a thing as karma, Mr. Stack, because you have a huge dose of bad mojo coming your way. Sleep well, jerk.

  • sorry, danny, can’t take anyone who uses comic sans in a non-ironic fashion seriously.

    • Dee Jones

Hey I also agree with you. At least he`s trying a honest living. Maybe Lindsay Lohan should change her career and go back to school and get a 9 to 5. I think she would be a lot happier and stay out of trouble.

  • Me

Could it quite possibly be that he has invested well and can afford to do what he really likes? He acted as a child probably at the pushing of his parents. Now, he’s an adult and can make his own choices. Remember Debi Thomas, the US figure skater? She didn’t want to skate her whole life. She wanted to be a doctor.

  • xojmo

This makes me sad as well. Not sure why.

  • Foxer

Its a good looking site, I hope he does well!

  • Raving Lunatic

The most annoying little kid on TV, next to cousin Oliver.

  • girl

I am quite embarrassed that EW would even print such a snotty piece. This is what is wrong with people today, everyone looks down at “lesser” jobs. I don’t think it is a lesser job just saying that is how it seems it is percieved. People think that how much money ou make determines your self worth. I am a lesser person because I’m not so narcisstic that I have to be on camera and have everyone talking about me? No one values privacy or the little things in life which to me are the important things in life. I applaud him and I am not going to be a judgey because of the font he uses, people get a grip and EW get a better handle are you columnists be snarky for snarky sake!

    • CiCi217

I agree with you. Does EW now stand for Egotistical Writing? I’ll have to remember that when I receive my magazine subscription reorder notice. Disgusting

  • S

Seriously EW, very mean spirited piece. Kind of seems you are making fun of him.

  • Zoe

I completely agree. I find this story interesting, just because it’s always interesting to hear what former child stars are doing when they’re not acting anymore. (Danica McKellar, for example.) But WHAT is with the “I’m better than you” tone in the first paragraph? If he’s happy selling Tuppeware, let him be! Far better doing that than in rehab and jail like other child stars not worth mentioning.
