Image Credit: Jim Spellman/WireImage.comJesse Eisenberg still hasn’t come face to face with Mark Zuckerberg, the 26 year-old Facebook CEO he portrays in The Social Network. But the two have a close connection: Eisenberg’s cousin, who works side by side with Zuckerberg at Facebook.
“My first cousin Eric, kind of works at the next desk over [from Zuckerberg] at Facebook,” says Eisenberg, who used his cousin as a model for his Social Network character. “He has the greatest things to say about him personally and professionally.”
Eisenberg says he’d love to use his family connection to get an audience with Zuckerberg someday. “I’m hoping my cousin could facilitate a meeting,” says Eisenberg. “We really don’t have much to say to each other, and yet, of course, there’s so much to say.”

two hours posted and no comments…to all of those wondering why they put JT on the cover (solo) of one of the social network issue, this should help explain a bit.
So based on your logic, Justin Bieber and Glee should be on the cover of EW every week. Hooray for the Plebs!
With an electrifying headline like ‘Jesse Eisenberg’s cousin works at Facebook’ and no prompt at the end of the post (or, really, in the post itself) to promote discussion, I wouldn’t exactly expect the comments to roll in.
exactly, because nobody cares about jesse eisenberg or his cousin.
To be fair though, it’d be pretty challenging to make a story about Johnny Depp’s cousin sound interesting, no?
“We really don’t have much to say to each other, and yet, of course, there’s so much to say.”
…so deep, Mr. Eisenberg.
I haven’t seen “Social Network” yet, but based on all the other films I’ve seen with him I have to ask…how does this kid not get the same amount of flack as Michael Cera?
He gets a little flak, but certainly not as much.
It’s a good point: I’m guessing it’s because the only movie Eisenberg was in prominently that was a hit was “Zombieland”, where as Cera did his George Michael thing for three seasons, and had two pretty big hits in “Superbad” and “Juno”, along with other movies that have generally been seen more than Eisenberg’s.
Bottom line: More people have seen more of Cera.
I like Cera, but Eisenberg is a lot more versatile.
Yeah, He’s like Cera’s better-looking, older brother.
they’ve actually met in saturday night live you can see it on youtube
