'Jimmy Kimmel Live!': David Cross talks about his new IFC show 'Todd Margaret'

Arrested Development and Dr. Show fave David Cross popped up on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to promote his new IFC show, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, which premieres tonight at 10 p.m. As you might expect, Cross brings his funny, and it plays very well with Jimmy, who jokes that Cross is a Miss America winner. “Mrs. America,” Cross corrects him. The pair go on to talk about Donald Trump (“He owns me,” Cross says); how Todd Margaret came together (it has an interesting path—from Britain to America!); and Will Arnett, who also appears in the show. Ah, why am I telling you all this? Just watch it here:

These two are good together, right? Actually, probably anyone would pair well with the always self-deprecating David Cross. Or with the always self-deprecating Jimmy, for that matter. Will you tune in for The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret now that you’ve heard Cross talk about it?

I wasn’t aware that Mr. Show graduated from medical school.

It was an honorary doctorate from Drugachusetts University.

So… what we have here is someone who works for and is paid by Entertainment Weekly to write for a pop culture column who has never seen Mr. Show – because that is NOT a typo, that smells like ignorance.

    Great job, Tanner!

I saw the pilot while I was in London, and it was great! I’m really excited about watching it on IFC.

You should post the video of Kevin Pereira’s interview with David Cross from yesterday’s AOTS
